Well, this is a surprise then. A lot of reviewers are calling the show meh. I personally enjoy the show. I wonder if this means we are going to get a full adaptation of the manga.

The Anime Network Schedules Second ‘Rin-ne’ Season Simulcast
Posted by Chris Beveridge

NOT ON CR ?? / Or will be ???

Sentai Filmworks picked up their first acquisition from the spring 2016 anime season a few weeks back with second season of Rin-ne. While they didn’t have details of the simulcast itself at the time, they’ve now gotten the plans revealed through The Anime Network. That service will bring the series to subscribers in the United States, Canada, and Latin America every Saturday at 7 AM EDT, starting on April 9th.

The show is set to be directed by Seiki Sugawara at Brains Base with the eternally busy Michiko Yokote handling the scripts for the series. The series stars Kaito Ishikawa as Rinne Rokudo, Marina Inoue as Sakura Mamiya, Hitomi Nabatame as Rokumon, Satsuki Yukino as Tamako, Kappei Yamaguchi as Sabato Rokudo, Ryohei Kimura as Tsubasa Jūmonji, Tetsuya Kakihara as Masato, Sora Tokui as Miho, Aya Suzaki as Rika, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Oboro, Suzuko Mimori as Suzu, Yuuko Sanpei as Shouma, Akira Ishida as Kurosu and Tesshô Genda as Narrator.

Rumiko Takahashi’s works have spawned some long running shows over the years, from Urusei Yatsura to Ranma 1/2 as well as Maison Ikkoku and Inu Yasha. Add in a number of OVAs over the years, most of which are long out of print in North America, and it’s easy to see why they’ll animate what she produces once there’s more than enough content to work with. The manga series, which is released in North America by Viz as Rin-ne, began in 2009 and has twenty-eight volumes released there to date. Viz Media releases the series back in North America.

Plot Concept: As a child Sakura Mamiya mysteriously disappeared in the woods behind her grandma’s home. She returned whole and healthy, but since then she has had the power to see ghosts. Now a teenager, she just wishes the ghosts would leave her alone! At school, the desk next to Sakura’s has been empty since the start of the school year, then one day her always-absent classmate shows up, and he’s far more than what he seems!

Sigh, it's sad it will not make it to CR meaning I doubt I will bother to watch it unless Hulu gets to stream it.

It's not on CR? They had the first season and I really enjoyed it. It was a fun show and one I was looking forward to. Who has it?

It is on The Anime Network (TAN) as a simulcast. Hope they let CR have it too, but given Tamako Market and the like, I'm not holding my breath here.

ANIME NETWORK ONLINE TO SIMULCAST "RIN-NE 2"

HOUSTON, March 30, 2016 - This Spring 2016 anime season, return to the spirit world with RIN-NE 2 on Anime Network Online (ANO).

Based on the manga by legendary mangaka Rumiko Takahashi (Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku), RIN-NE 2 picks up where the first season left off with poverty-stricken Rinne Rokudo still desperately trying to make ends meet through a series of (very) odd jobs, including purifying spirits and escorting them to the Wheel of Reincarnation. In between fights with malevolent damishigami (including his scheming father, the president of the Damishigami Company), Rinne has to deal with meddling black cats, love struck shinigami girls, and even more romantic misunderstandings with Sakura Mamiya!

ANO subscribers in the United States, Canada, and Latin America will be able to stream new simulcast episodes of RIN-NE 2 every Saturday at 7 AM EDT, starting on April 9th.
