My state is not a swing state, nor does it possess many electoral college votes. As a result, campaigns are never active in my state and the only political ads I see on television are meant for neighboring states.

I would say my vote doesn't really count for anything, and the people running for office know it. I still vote.. sometimes.. but it's not like I honestly expect it to accomplish anything.

If it's in Florida it might not. They seem to have trouble counting.

On a serious note though, it counts until electoral votes roll around. Then it's backseat driving from there.

Eww, you voted for John McCain, Mitt Romney and Bob Dole? Bet you must be fun at parties.

I didn't say everyone that lost , I voted for.
I'm not American so I couldn't have voted for them.

Nope. They just want you to think that. I mean if nobody voted, but actually made a vote not to vote because none of the candidates are good enough, then the government is basically fucked lol, because you're still voting, but basically voting not to vote, I would totally vote for that just to be that guy even though a lot of other people think like this.

Presidency: Not really
Governor, representatives and senators (national & state), city positions, county positions, etc.: Yes.

Ironically, the stuff that's actually more important gets less participation.
