Apparently Twitch believes Mortal Kombat and Grand Theft Auto are much more tame and don't require any censorship compared to Yandere Sim...

Twitch just went ahead and banned it without even alerting the developer. So far they haven't said why they banned it all of a sudden.

If I recall correctly it contains numerous easter eggs using copyrighted music, etc. That could be the reason.. maybe. Or it could be because the game involves trying to get away with premeditated murder. See below:

Further, BY USING THE TWITCH SERVICE, INCLUDING THE INTERACTIVE AREAS YOU AGREE NOT TO post, upload to, transmit, distribute, store, create or otherwise publish through the Twitch Service any of the following:

1. Content that would constitute, encourage or provide instructions for a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party, or that would otherwise create liability or violate any local, state, national or international law or regulation;

2. Content that may infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other intellectual or proprietary right of any party. By posting any Content, you represent and warrant that you have the lawful right to distribute and reproduce such Content;

The intellectual property issue due to the game's easter eggs seems a bit of a stretch, but technically possible.

It's more likely they've banned it because a core component of the game is plotting, committing, and getting away with murder. It could be argued that it's instructional, unlike Mortal Kombat.

GTA V with its heist mechanics could be argued to be in violation of article 1 as well, but given that it's a big money-maker from a big developer I doubt it'll be given the same treatment even if that is the case.

Twitch has some pretty arbitrary and even hypocritical policies when it comes to what can be streamed. If they keep it up hopefully people will move to their competition.

Which would then mean Twitch is showing favoritism for one game over another.

Whatever the official reason is, if Twitch ever decides to reveal that reason, it looks like they're being a bit too strict here.

Blowing heads off and torturing humans is okay but as soon as you can take pictures of panties, your game isn't wanted by the Twitch-senpai. Thanks, Twitch, for your "excellent" guidance!

Funnily What's Under Your Blanket and Criminal Girls are also banned from Twitch.

The intellectual property would be the reason. With games like GTA on the market, it's simply too much of a stretch for it to be anything else.

I highly doubt is the plotting thing. Since that wills be the most hypocritical reason ever. Since there a lot of games that let you do that

That's just too sad.
