It's generally upheld by law that there are more reasons to separate by gender than by race. Look at it this way. EVERY girl has a vagina. But any assertion that states X race is generally smarter than y race is contentious.

Once people in a group are too different but you're trying to get them to do one thing, reaching that goal tends to become more difficult. If you take a bunch of random people from across the world (of all races, ages, and genders) and you try to teach them to learn math in an American high school environment, you're probably not going to get the same results as if you had only chosen 13 year olds who were born and raised in the US.

A bit of an extreme example but there it is.

I admit, certain problems affect certain groups, but you don't just group the top ten percent in a class and call it a day either. One could say people work better (or in some cases worst.) in the presence of their ethnic groups. And I forgot what I wanted to say.

It's apparently a fact that segregated schools have better performance. That goes for both race and gender.

I don't want to go back to segregation. Segregation doesn't really solve the issues black people have. If anything, it exacerbated tensions between groups.

I'm not suggesting it by saying that. Though there are an increasing number of people who do want to go back to it. SJWs of all people.

Yep. I generally prefer the company of girls and they were all very sweet at my school so we had good fun. Went to a mixed college and wanted to go back to being with girls.

The argument that it promotes ignorance is pretty funny. Most of us didn't have trouble interacting with the other gender because surprise surprise you're not confined to school grounds and can see boys outside of it. I will mention though that whenever we had a hot new male teacher it was mayhem.

I relate to the teacher thing.

I support some degree of separation in certain environments, but it really depends on the purpose of separating the groups and what benefits and costs are associated with doing this.

Just saying guys its not at all bad! It's a fun experience though I can't compare since I've never been to a mixed school. I would not imagine myself at a mixed school sincerely.

Social Justice Warriors. The very special kind of idiots. At least they haven't got the power to bring back segregation.... I hope.

Been there done that. I was in grammar type school for girls for secondary education. Before that I started out co-ed. We had a brother school that I'd visited sometimes since they arranged school a school twinning system. I found it okay.

Yes they say each gender preforms better in a class of their own but if they can't take that performance out of the class room into working environments then nothing is gained in the long run. A good single sex school will make sure their students have some social time plus working on projects with the opposite sex. If they just isolate students then there may be problems that are created later on.

Gender segregation in education is one of the cheapest easiest forms of action a school or schools can do to increase performance (short term goals). In the long run results may even out or prove worst depending on how a school planned things or what mixing provision was provided.

We had an attractive music teacher join the school once and girls were following him around and trying to switch to his class. It was so inappropriate but the funny part is that he was a lanky ginger.

Until there's a huge spider somewhere in the bedroom, the Nutella jar's lid is stuck, and all your friends are married.
