Kill la Kill.....just so over the top and ridiculous it hurts. It also helps to possess zero fond memories of high school. Hatred would be too kind a descriptor for that experience.

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt: episodes 6, 10, 12, 13

Dead Leaves......51 minutes of sheer over the top brilliance denigrating the human condition. When you get as old as me, looking back you will understand.

Ghost in the shell SAC.
Great character development in the series at the same time very complex story.
This was the first series that I had to watch more then once to get all the information from it and that makes it even better. It does not waste time on fan service and filler for the most part it moves the story along as well as slowly giving you pieces of information on each character. It does not paint them as indestructible or unbeatable like most series do to the main characters.

The next closest to a 10 for me would be Black Lagoon

I don't think a perfect 10/10 anime exists out there, but the closest to it that I've watched so far are...

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (9.7/10)
Oregairu (9.5/10)
Death Note: (9.5/10)

Hunter X Hunter (1999 + 2011) - If I could take the mix and match those two versions, it would be my perfect 10 anime. Specifically, I would take the everything up to Hunter Exam and Yorknew from 1999, and then replace their counterparts in the 2011 version. The beginning of 2011 felt really rushed and I liked Yorknew more in 1999. The characters, development, action, music and story are all top-notch. Its one of the few shows that I can rewatch multiple times and always find new things to enjoy. Though of course I want to see more of Gon and Killua's adventures, I was happy with how 2011 concluded it.

Nagi no Asukara ( A lull in the sea )

This has to be like.. the most perfect anime I've seen in a long.. long time. I love the colors and the animation and if you watch it in HD. It absolutely takes your breath away. Besides the anime and such, the story matches it perfectly and the characters develop in ways you wouldn't even think. It's just.. amazing awesome.

Someone who shares my opinion that Nagi-Asu is perfect?

*Highfive*

I actually wrote the top review on the page http://www.crunchyroll.com/nagi-no-asukara-nagi-asu-a-lull-in-the-sea/reviews if you want my full opinion, but really this show blew my mind. Living in Michigan, I've grown up around water and snow all my life so I think that made it extra special to me.

If it wasn't for Clannad, this would be my favorite series by far.

Now that I think about it.. It was your review that made my decision of watching it. xD Small world. When I first saw Nagi Asu I watched the preview of it first and was a little iffy about watching it. I went to the reviews and read a few and after reading yours and a few others I made up my mind to give it a go and that was probably the best decision of my life. Now I have to watch Clannad, I've kept it on hold for so long.

Small world indeed! It's weird to think that people actually read the stuff I write. Glad I convinced someone to watch it!

Funny thing, the PV and many early promotional images like this one, http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/naginoasukara/images/e/e5/Maxresdefault.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/670?cb=20140204024753 only feature Hikari, Manaka, and Tsumugu because none of the other characters had been finalized at that point in production

Clannad isnt perfect, and its quite different from Nagi, but It's still my favorite because the story is so powerful and moving, yet still down to earth. Haven't cried harder watching anything in my life than I did while watching After Story...

No show or movie is perfect in the technical side of things, but I rate shows, movies, games, beer etc... depending on how much I like them, not whether they have a certain amount of flaws and such.
