My rules are simple, if you don't want to know what happens just go and watch it, don't look it up. Somebody will have spoiled it. If it's a currently running anime don't look at the threads.

If it's over 6 months old all bets are off. It's your fault it got spoiled.

This is Mostly For Those Who Have Seen The Series:
i searched for the opening for tengen toppa gurren lagann on youtube just to check it out. And i literally scrolled down to see the first maybe 4 or 5 top comments and one of them spoiled the death of a certain character. So I looked up this character and it appears he dies quite early in the series. I'm quite angry honestly at the idiot who spoiled it, and at myself for looking at comments I guess. since I was really looking forward to seeing this series. However, im going to watch it anyway since i believe I can still enjoy it knowing this. Will it affect the way I enjoy the series greatly? And Can I expect further plot twists or epicness from the series form that point onwards? I really hate people who just spoil things like that.. Oh well. now I know Never to look at the comment section Before i watch a series..

I'm sorry, but TTGL aired in 2007. The onus is on you to avoid spoilers at this point. I am sorry it was spoiled but don't go blaming Internet people.

Really don't look at comments on videos relating to shows unless you don't care if you are spoiled or have already finished the show. It's a rough lesson to learn the first time, but you gotta be careful. Less popular show, but I was spoiled on ending of Valvrave like that. I was upset, too, so don't worry, but it is on YOU to not be spoiled in those cases.

As for popular shows that have been out for ages... Yeah, people drop that stuff as though everybody knows it. Again, just gotta be careful.

When you scroll down on the comments section in some manga and get spoiled 20-200+ chapters ahead because some elitist decided to 'look' at the raws. You learn to wise up.

Not to mention when you're use to fighting off people spoiling Muv-Luv in threads the worse you could possibly spoil that i know of..
Even if youtube finally got a spoiler tag no one would ever use it either just like in threads.

I find it funny though even though i scroll down for some things my instincts usually kick in and my eye's lose focus.
approaching almost 1.2k watched now and there's still a lot of classics i haven't seen that mostly everyone else has, heck there's a good amount of well known series in later years i haven't seen either that i have avoided being spoiled on as well.

However... my friend punishes me for not being caught up on stuff so i was recently spoiled for Charlotte simply because he disliked the series. I have also learned to not talk about anime/manga with him EVER if i haven't seen it.

@biopower I agree, but lesson learnt and @saprobe I was annoyed so I was allowed to do that and I was clearly not blaming "internet people", I was just a bit angry . Trust me when it happens to you by accident and its the first time youre not exactly happy. It just would be cool if some people were considerate to others who might want to check out the opening of a show on youtube, to just tag: SPOILER Before the comment! But whatever, im watching it already and loving it. So no point in discussing further and telling me not to blame "internet people".

In all fairness, the show has been out for, oh, I don't know, YEARS now? Yeah. There comes a time where one must blame the "victim" when regarding spoilers. Be sure to watch the show first instead of going on the internet and looking up the material that could risk you seeing spoilers.

Also, you should know better than to scroll down to the comment section on Youtube. I mean, c'mon now..
