So I would be like ok neighbors lets make it a group effort. That looks like a back breaker no doubt but I see lots of cars in the same predicament sharing the driveway out

Yup. All the residents of my complex are out shoveling. We are hoping that the plow will come through sometime today or tomorrow but even when they do, the truck only does one pass.

(UPDATED after the storm)

So basically all the residents in my complex are angry - no snow plows showed up until a good three days after the storm. Basically no one showed up to plow our parking lots until a couple days after the residents finished manually digging ourselves out. Since we each pay about $380/month condo association fees that are supposed to cover things such as snow removal, just about everyone is really upset about it. We had to clear the way because we had residents who work at the hospital who were required to go to work, we have others who are ill and very unstable (multiple strokes for instance) who might need to get to the hospital as an emergency, and the rest of us had to report to work before the plows ever showed up.

Maine got missed by the blizzard (somehow) but it's not like there isnt more snow on the ground anyways. Shoveling snow is good exercise! arms, back, cardio... hell even legs if yo got one of those shovels you just sorta can walk forward with .

Sometimes.

Another good thing is just to toss de-icer like it's chicken feed, that also works good too.

i have a river of textured ice waves in my driveway. so im chipping ice. maybe two inches of hard packed icy snow in other parts.
the south of the island and the mainland bayside got huge flooding. the mainland also got about two feet. my sister in north jersey got close to three feet.
