what's that. ?

Its like skype but you can join groups and chat with other people as long as you have the link then you can join the chat and the leader of the chat can set certain rules like only people who have been given permission can use voice chat. It's mainly used by livestreamers but very few still use it I believe

I use mumble, tox, and skype for when I need to talk to family(though skype is nearly unusable on linux).

I have no issues on Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit.

I do recall having a bunch of issues on 11.10 32-bit, though.

Skype is great for talking casually to people, but if you want to play a game for example, then you would rather use teamspeak, cause the "talking over each other = cancel one person's mic" does not happen there.

Skype. I play in smaller groups and it's simple/works enough for what I play.

Teamspeak, just cause it's the most stable when playing an MMO. Don't bother with voice chat otherwise.

Or, you know, there's always Google Hangouts. So we can video chat (well, except I have no cam) and even put up streams on YouTube.

I tried openSUSE back in like... `05? Whenever SUSE Linux 10.0 was released. It wasn't a pleasant experience, heh. It did get me addicted to the KDE environment, though.

I rarely speak with anyone with voice chat through Skype. I do sometimes call a IRL friend, but other people is more difficult D:

openSUSE works quite well now and YAST is fucking amazing. However I can't boot linux 4.4, so thats an issue, not sure if its due to the distro or dracut or the kernel.
