I am not able to watch Crunchyroll on my Roku 1.

But my mom said she is having no problems watching Crunchyroll via her Roku 3.

Should I upgrade to a new Roku, or just stick with my Roku 1 longer? I'm missing Case Closed and Miss Monochrome!!

How is your Roku 1 connected to your TV (HDMI or composite?) and what resolution are you viewing in. From the reports I've seen, that seems to have some correlation to whether the app has problems or not.

It's connected via the A/V cable it came with, the red/yellow/white cords. Not sure the resolution.

That would be via composite video (the cord with the yellow plug), which limits the resolution to 480p.

I'll wager if you took that same Roku and hooked it to and HDTV via HDMI and set it at 720p or 1080p, CR would work fine.

Whatever the problem is, it seems to mostly affect those viewing via composite and/or limited to standard definition output.

I'll have to find an HDMI cable then. Good idea, thanks!
