Now bare with me guys this is what I'm going with in the recently announced trailer for detective Pikachu which GameXplain turned out to be wrong about it not coming over fear of the facial mapping creepiness this is something that development and time seems to get under controll before its release if they intend to go with it, they don't want to make a scarry talking Pikachu that would give kids nightmares! Ok moving on... Did you notice the magnifying glass in the game logo? I think that is hinting at some kind of feature that uses augmented reality with the 3DS camera to solve puzzles. That's usually what a magnifying glass means not all the time but sometimes. Next up did you notice all that paper there were like news papers with pictures all over the place so I think its possible you might have to take either real world pictures with the camera or in-game pictures with the 3DS camera. Or the paper filled office and alleys in the trailer could mean they are just trying to present the theme of an investigative Pokemon story. Anyway what do you think? Could there be camera features in this game? Do you think Detective Pikachu is the new Pokemon Snap? Lemme know.

Not really Pokemon snap, but something else entirely. It's only confirmed for release in Japan, but since it's a Pokemon game there's a good chance it'll eventually come over to the west, though we might have to wait quite a bit. For those who know Japanese and is able to bypass the region restrictions, that's not an issue though. It could potentially be another "must have" 3ds game. maybe.

Well of course duh The Pokemon Company is usually about new experiences that's why they don't give a crap if fans want a new Pokemon Snap. Now I have said before I can careless about Pokemon Snap that game was boring as hell but this could be Pokemon's way of introducing a new experience similar to Pokemon Snap. While meeting both interests one being the fans interest and the Pokemon Company's interest.

I have yet to see the actual gameplay. The game seems to be fairly linear from the little information i see.
(it's a detective game, so you need to solve a mystery of some sort)
If that's the case, it could be one of those games that's very enjoyable at first, but that has low replay-ability
(since you already know everything when you're done with the game). Hopefully Nintendo proves me wrong.

I didn't say it is a new Pokemon Snap or remake my posts is simply could it be the new Pokemon Snap? It could very well be just another spinoff Pokemon game with those features I mentioned or not. I don't know. But Like I said the Pokemon Company is about new experiences that's why the stadium games are on hiatus and why they're doing Pokken Tournament. I don't get their logic. Sure they have been right time and time again that ppl love new experiences and they've made good ones. But ppl love oldschool too! You can't escape the desire for nostalgia sometimes you have to listen its only upsetting when you don't listen to the fans and give them what they want. If the fans ever do get a remake of Pokemon Snap and Detective Pikachu turns out to be a spinoff afterall then I'll be happy for them but I won't buy no Pokemon Snap sequel or remake.
