Who else is looking forward to this film?

It's the tale of Jun Naruse, a very talkative carefree child who one day says something. This something ends up tearing her family apart & blaming her for the break up. She then encounters a supernatural creature, called an egg fairy, who agrees to help her from hurting anyone else with her words.

He seals away her words, if she tries to speak, she experiences terrible pains.

Now in highschool, she & three other outcasts/misfits, are chosen to participate in a class event. A musical. Now Jun must find a way to finally deal with her emotions, her curse & finally break out of her shell, all while trying to do a musical.

From the creators of Anohana, comes an original film, about the power of words, friendship & music.

Really glad to not only all the anime is releasing it for the uk but also going to see it in cinema next month!

After watching the film, it has become my number 1 film for 2016. I award it a 10/10.

It cleverly breaks the stereotypical mould of the romance/slice of life genre while still accepting most of them. It also blends three angles that leave you guessing. i.e. you see Jun's imagination, what she sees inside her head, then there's the real world, as seen by the other cast too.
Then you have the supernatural element, which with the other cast, leaves you questioning is the supernatural really happening to Jun, is it all in her head, her own imagination forcing it real.

I also love the ending, for it builds up to end in a certain way, heavily hinting from the get go. Yet the ending of the film is what makes it stand out completely from the other films in it's genre. It clearly blends both the asian concept of a traditional love film while integrating a western concept of a love film. Without spoiling, it makes both bittersweet & heartwarming story. It keeps it set with realism while never once losing any of its magical touch.

I find that the music is just another part that makes this something truly unique, every song, every note helps make it a true masterpiece of a film. The soundtrack only deepens the heartstrings the viewer feels for the characters. The voice actors also not only sing well, but convey each character and each situation perfectly, making the characters standout and each one more than the typical typecast role you'd expect to find.

In short, I can't stress enough to go so it, even if you're a fan of dub over sub. This is a fantastic movie that I think will be looked back upon as one of the greatest films of not just a generation, but a lifetime.
