An interesting article I just ran across.

I have a sense that it would be pretty final.

Maybe, if we have infinite resources it's possible to build a starship. I think there's a lot of constraints with this, fuel, mass of the starship and etc. I came across an interesting article but I forgot the link to it. It was about what if earth was one of the first species to appear in the universe, kinda like we got lucky and other species has yet to come.

And given with all our current knowledge I think FTL seems unrealistic. I think the most important part for space travel is how we can withstand the gravitational effects of moving close to the speed of light. At a subatomic level, we're made of electrons and etc, so in theory we're moving at almost at speed at light.

Yesterday I'd be waving and helping everyone. Today I'd be stabbing you all. Tomorrow I'll be asleep.

World debt is currently at $60 Trillion. The Bank of Universe will freeze our account and assets and send the Cosmos Bailiffs around to take away items to make up the debt. Governments will then be too poor to pay the electricity and water bills, farming machinery and such will have be seized so we will all starve.

I give it about 3 days from now.

Dunno about you guys, but I feel fine.

I like that video, but number 1 and 6 are feathered and engines should be shut down.

Supernova tend to be the product of binary systems, as a white dwarf accreates hydrogen from its neighbor. A single white dwarf can go nova many times, depending on accreation rates.

While our sun will eventually collapse into a white dwarf, supernova are not in its future.

How depressing is that, I forgot if the earth is going to go when the sun starts burning helium or is it the next stage. Doesn't really matter, because it will really start dumping heat before then and we will get some real global warming.

Earth goes when the sun starts burning helium. Next stage, the sun ejects its outer layers as a planetary nebula and collapses into a white dwarf.
