Post Reply How often do you cut your fingernails?
Posted 1/27/16
Every time they grow even just a little, I'm going to have to cut my nails. I hate long nails. They're uncomfortable.

Every couple of weeks. My nails grow really damn slowly so sometimes I can get away with every third week. It actually kinds of worries me how slowly they grow.

Try adding gelatin to your diet, either in things like jello or aspic, or there are capsules you can get usually labelled for hair and nails or skin they keep them with the vitamins and other nutritional supplements. You'll notice a difference usually within a week of adding it every day.

I sometimes have to trim every few days to stay ahead of mine.

From the time it takes me to remember to cut my nails, to forget, to remember again, put it off, forget, then remember again, I might cut my nails once, unless I forget again.

When they get long, usually every 2 weeks.

Each person in my family has special sets of curved scissors that they use. A pair with shorter and finer blades for fingers, a pair with slightly thicker and substantially longer blades for toes. I detest nail clippers. They feel uncomfortable to use. The scissors feel more natural and they are handmade from carbon steel/black iron and well sharpened. Grandma always takes them to the knife maker we got them from for resharpening whenever she goes back to Taiwan.

My nails are pretty thin so my blades don't dull very quickly. I should probably have more biotin.
