is it wrong to enjoy games to much?
recently ive been stuck between games and real life...ive been geting on and off games and neglecting task around the house.I get them done but i slowly worked my way from doing them 5 min later to waiting up till the next day to do them.

I thought worldofwarcraft was doing it to me. So i eventually got bored of them game and stoped playing.I havent been on for over 2 months and ive been playing other games like starcraft, diablo, counterstrike, and even...runescape(i hated it years ago)

i get on and off these games so much that i cant stay on 1 game for more than an hour...btw theres no jobs around here that hire at 15 witch is why im not working to kill time.

ive wasted probly about 5-6 hours a day of sitting there, not even playing a game or watching anime.

so i have come to share this to all of you...who knows maybe alot more people are doing this to. The only sollution i know to help is to be active in real life but thats hard to do outside of school and work

ya iv had that happen to me to. With sonic 2, and Final Fantasy. It actually got to a point, and I mean really a point where I would look at somthing outside when I was'nt playing games, and I would see wireframe and i litteraly had to tuch stuff to tell myself that it was real. That was when I was 16. Scared me to hell!! I was doing school. right when I got home, I would play until 2 am and go to sleep and get up at 6 am to go to school. On Friday night, I would play ( during 2 week time periods) until sunday morning then sleep, and start school on monday!!! That was and addiction. But because of things like that, I perminantly messed up my biological clock and now I can't always do that becaue I fall asleep infront of the TV. So watch yourself. lol this is one of the rare occasions considering how its 2:22 am where I am right know! Well I'm going to bed1 bye

^ I'm playing CS:S
Damm friends got me into it.

I don't know if it's just me but, I seem to have lost the joy of games that I used to get when I was younger...
It used to be
"OMFG That's crazy!!! This game is bloody awesome!"
now it's
"Oh ok, that's cool..."

It really depends on the level of addiction i guess.

Your basic addiction, maybe an hour or so a day, that's fine, everyone has an interest somewhere nyo.

A higher level addiction of three - five hours a day, this is a hard one to get at. During holidays, on weekends and sick days, it's all good. But if it's seven days a week, 365 days a year, well, that's not too healthy. All up, so long as it's not four - five hours every day, this level is also fine ^^

The highest level is something around 7+ hours a day, every day. This is very, very unhealthy. I've known a few people at this level. An old room mate of mine got hooked to WoW pre-BC stage. Went from an average student to a poor student, finally to a non-student when he was kicked from university for failure to complete courses. Didn't phase the guy, he then got fired for poor performance. I'd moved out before BC came around, but i imagine he still playing his nice 10 hour minimum daily. Sad thing is, he saw no problem in 10 - 20 hour gaming, seven days a week. Went so far as to changing all his clocks and alarms to WoW time, and then timing his sleep around the hours he wasn't raiding.

I know not many people get to stage three, but when you do, get help o.O

To sum it all up: So long as the addiction isn't your entire life, all is well(ish).

I used to be addicted to 'The Sims' and kept wasting my money on all the flaming expansion packs for it. I still play on it from time to time, but not as much as I used to.
