The person in the quote is the kind of person I have no sympathy for. They're fucking 17. Stop caring so much. Not like a relationships work at that age anyway. So who the fuck really cares?

Personally I don't want relationships or sex. Anyone who thinks that's a bad thing can suck a dick like they probably do on a regular basis. Win win.

I believe it's NOT a bad thing. YOUR beliefs make it bad because you want to believe
what everyone says about. Live life and enjoy what time you have.

All the quote makes me think is "help i'm a few months above the age of consent and i haven't put my dick in somebody".
Honestly, I could care less.

Yes, but that's what your hormones tell you is the point of life!
Once they stop flowing, and you've presumably completed all your battling-rival-males and female-behind-presenting instincts to actually achieve the fully maturated urges to create a monogamous family unit and provide for the mate and offspring, it's "Uh, remind me again why I used to think this was so funny/necessary? "

If someone is virginal but not by choice like that person in the quote, then it is sad, because it means they're a loser and a half.
but what is it when its both?

Hmm?
You can't be both, that's like saying you can walk and run at the same time.

No. I see it as waiting for the one you love the most and that you want to give everything to.

I remember when one teen-education movement tried to combat AIDS and teen pregnancy not just with condoms--which might have emphasized "Since you're going to anyway, use them", which was the wrong message--but with "Abstinence", which in hindsight, might have been the wrong word to use:

The message was supposed to be, "It's YOUR body, it's YOUR choice, and no one can make it for you, no matter what they say to make you think you 'should'".
A very helpful teen-independence message for girls, especially in urban and college areas, and important for boys, who, especially in the male-testosterone sports teams, might fall into the pits of misogyny and date-rape for not getting any, or act out from being further harassed by their own peers for not getting any...
Unfortunately, since this was a healthy alternative to supporting abortion, the rightwing Pro-Life community leaped on the movement as their "own", and soon "Abstinence" was laughed out of the room as some 50's Reagan-era Red-State attempt to tell teens that they should all wear Mary-Jane shoes, listen to Pat Boone and wear poodle skirts like Sandra Dee from Grease. "Yeah, they're saying we should all be nice little kids, and never think about sex, and just beat it off every day instead, harhar..."

Well, so much for teens developing an independent empowerment of their own identity apart from their peers.
It's more important to brag about your scores, because it's cooler and more contemporary, and you won't be some freak social misfit!

Nothing wrong with being a virgin and/or not being a virgin. Get down when you are ready!

Being a virgin is great, honestly. At least you're not getting STD's from random people

No, it's not bad. There's just a shit ton of peer pressure for people to lose their v cards, especially with teenagers who already have raging hormones.

Edit: Also that person in the original comment needs to chill. You're not special if you're only 17 and haven't lost it yet. You're just sexually frustrated and that's normal.
