Credit to The Ancient One for telling me how on another post. :)

On Roku, go to "Display" and select 1080p. Shouldn't matter what kind of TV you have.

If that doesn't work right away, attach Roku 1 to the TV via an HDMI cable. There's a few on Amazon for under $5.

Hope this helps! I have some Case Closed to catch up on. Try it on all models of Roku.

How exactly do I do that? Under Display Type, the only options I see are 4:3 and 16:9. I just got my Roku today, so I'm still really new to it, but I can't find any option that just says Display. My TV doesn't have an HDMI port either, so I can't go that route to fix it.

I hate to tell you this but, if you also use composite cables ( the yellow, white, red connector one) with an older TV like I am, we're waiting on a fix for this still. Been two months now since they updated the roku app and turned a functioning roku channel into a useless one for me. So the only somewhat good thing I can tell you is you're not alone.

Man, wanting to watch anime on my TV was the main reason I bought a Roku. I hate watching TV shows on my computer; the screen's too close and it gives me a headache.

Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Works for roku 2. I just tried it, just like CodenameSailor said i changed the display to 1080p and the crunchyroll app worked. I have mine hooked up with HDMI.

My Roku 2 has been suffering from the "Playback interrupted" error for weeks. I tried switching from RCA to HDMI cable and it still didn't fix it. As suggested here, I entered my Roku's settings and changed the display to 1080p. It is working now. Thanks a ton! The lady and I are settling in for Fairy Tail.

Has anyone come up with something better? I've got the whole 4:3 and 16:9 issue too. I can't change mine to 1080 anywhere.
