Post Reply Name a fictional setting in which you rather live in

Devil May Cry's setting seems like a place I'd like to be. Obviously I'd want to be a demon hunter and not some pleb regular human.

It'd be cool to live in William Gibson's sprawl.

I'd want to live in the world of Spira (Final Fantasy X) in either Luca or Kilika... i'd want the time of X2 and not X itself though.

Blade Runner (1982), some floors up from a busy street market
Battlestar Galactica (2004), aboard the Battlestar Galactica or a Cylon Starship
Mass Effect (2007), on the Citadel
Interstellar (2014), on the Cooper Station
Bleach (2004), somewhere in the Seireitei of Soul Society, or the palace in Hueco Mundo so long as Harribel ran business there.
Sword Art Online (2012), almost anywhere in Aincrad

It's the ones from the top of my head.

The world of the Witcher or Skyrim, anyplace where one can explore endlessly and where true magic exists.

I'd like to live in a fantasy world where everything isn't what it seems. Filled with magic, illusions, lore, and mystery. You can jump into a lake, reflecting the moon and end up in the realm of the moon castle. Walk through waterfalls to an island of singing whales. You meet other people along the way, but it's rare. Otherwise this world consists of strange beings. Some more along the lines of creatures and some look humanoid. A few look human, but with special abilities humans don't possess.

Okay, let me climb out of my daydreaming before I ramble on forever.

Runescape, you can eat as much as you want without ever gaining weight, sleep as little as you want without ever putting your health at risk, and you respawn with all your stuff at a fraction of it's cost as a penalty when you die. XD

I have three locations I would "love" to live in: The Shire, Lothlorien, and Rivendell.

Possibly somewhere I can put the combat skills I already possess to some use. It seems like a hassle to learn something like magic or music based fighting or whatever.. Maybe in the Gun Gale Arc of SAO, it seems like a fairly realistic ( I use fairly realistic with a lot of salt) world concerning gun based combat, something I know intimately. Hopefully my real life skills come along with the transfer to such a world.

I picture a place like in the movie Howls moving castle where there are mountains and luscious green grass and plants all around with a sunny clear sky with few clouds. Also a beautiful lake to look upon.

I'd rather get killed in Westeros than in the real world, lol!!! If you want to survive there, avoid weddings at all costs.
