About 2-3 years ago when I was watching Log Horizon, I noticed a character in the game was a crossdresser. I could help but wonder why the character wasn't just a female. It just seemed all too complicated.

No offense is intended.

I think if he was not a crossdresser his character wouldn't of been as comedic, not sure though.

Not all crossdressers are people who wish to be the sex/gender that they dress as.

Yes because they usually have a reason behind it

well in that anime they were sucked into their avatars body's. so it was probably a girl who was playing a guy avatar at the moment. the little ninja girl used a potion in the first ep to change back to female if you remember.

No. Tetora's avatar isn't a crossdresser anyhow.

Yeah, it makes sense. Just think about it; we have gamers who choose to have naked players, cosplaying characters, and whatnot. It's for fun. It makes sense because there are people who would do it if they could. I'm one of them. My reasons vary from liking how some character models can pull it off, to simply prefering outfit designs, all the to it being a private joke. People get bored. I get bored.

Crossdressing is the outward form of an out of control narcissism. So, my answer to the poll is a big fat NO.

Depends on the context.

Alice, from Chivalry of a Failed Knight, for example, was very well done.

Meh, while I feel no urge to crossdress either in real life nor any of the MMOs I play I could really care less about what others choose to wear in any given situation most times. All I care about is if the healer can pull off decent raid heals or the tank can actually tank and draw aggro. If they feel the need to do so whilst dressed as the opposite gender I could care less. Competency is all any actual gamer should care about in his or her fellow raid members.
