Oh I forgot, when I was young there was a Neo Nazi wave in germany so I was surrounden by Hakenkreuzen. My Dad was not very happy about that so I started to make windows out of it whenever I saw one. WIth curtains and flowers and sometimes I draw a smiling stickfigure behind the window. It was fun .

Well, if had no right to be there, I.E. vandalism, then I'd agree, destroy it. No reason to put it on say, a Synagogue of all places.

Depends on the context and situation. Do I see it in a museum? In the context of a historical reenactment? On a tombstone? or am I seeing it scrawled as graphitti across the front of a church or synagogue?

Right now there is a movement to remove a lot of historical monuments and do other cleansing to remove any Confederate memorials across the country. I believe this does more harm than good. Hiding unpleasant bits of history and forgetting about them is one of the best ways to have history repeat itself. Some towns are even digging up the graves of Confederates and moving them. http://www.snopes.com/2015/07/13/move-forrest-remains/

Sometimes people will draw "hate" symbols against themselves for sympathy and attention.

Before you know it, you'll have an entire swastika collection on that very bathroom door. People come and go, rating every swastika with a rating from 1 to 10

I would put the Buddhist Swastika right beside it

Usually it's just freedom of expression. Banning symbols does nothing to fight the ideology.

In terms of the swastika, that's somthing that needs reclaimed. I fully accept a swastika being drawn - my problem is it being misused.

Make sure you know what the symbol means before freaking out over it.

Swastikas are ancient symbols. Don't be a white tourist. Read an article about tourists complaining about manjis representing holy sites on Japanese maps. Seriously, wtf....

Nazi or Hindu / Buddhist / Shinto?

I'd ignore it either way, but I assume you mean the kind used by the Nazi party.

I saw a video on the Rachel and Jun youtube channel where Rachel is talking about Japan potentially changing those map logos to make the place more foreign friendly. Of course that was one of them.

Ignore it. I don't give a fuck as long as it's not directly affecting me.

I don't think the swatstika is offensive at all. At least, I don't see it that way, it's those modern [YOU-KNOW-WHOS] that continues to ruin its rep. Other people do find it offensive, but I do believe in the First Amendment, and that's the price I'm willing to pay if I cherish freedom of expression.

But if you live in the Federal Republic of Germany, oooh boy, that's totally new. I honestly do believe in the First Amendment in the States, but in Germany? Bam, you're subject to legal restrictions pretty fast if you did wave one of those things.
