Well technically, They still have the rights to it, until march. During this month, they can maybe renew their license. I'm personally not a big fan of FMA, but if Funi does lose the rights, it would suck for people trying to buy the BD's and such. Aniplex USA really needs to go out of business, so Funi can get the rights to some of their shows.

One one hand, this was bound to happen sooner or later with any of Aniplex's shows.

--Also, Funi better be pimping out more DBZ, because there goes one of Funi's signature series.

On the otherhand, F**K YOU ANIPLEX F**K YOU AND *F**K ANYONE WHO BUYS FROM THEM. Thank you for making anime becoming less and less affordable, you twats

*because I know someone's going to get on me about this, sorry I had to get this out. I know you collectors on here aren't the problem for price gouging and I sincerely apologize for my rant.

Birdy the Mighty Decode is also an Aniplex title FUNi has which, going by the expiration date on Hulu (10/14/16), means it is likely on the chopping block, too.

Though not FUNi, NIS America has lost the rights of Wagnaria/Working Seasons 1 and 2, and AoA has already picked up Season 3. So, I'd expect to see those NISA sets OOP soon.

which means AoA will charge about 600 dollars and come with s**tty postcards because COLLECTORS EDITION!!!

Not trying to get on you by any means, but just remember that this is Aniplex Japans' doing, not Aniplex of America. AoA doesn't have a say in the license contracts and what not that AoJ deals to other companies.

Oh, I know it's AoJ's doing. I understand that.

AoA is just the American version that's all.

I mean, I'm not poor and if I pooled my money together, I probably could afford some of AoA's titles, but it just galls me because most of the demographic that does buy anime is young kids and young adults who probably can't afford to be popping several hundred on the ten millionth revamp of Gurren Lagann. I own some NIS titles...nice case, comes with a lovely artbook and it was about a third of the price Aniplex would charge at less than 60.00.

I get the Collector's thing...I mean, I went thru a stage where I wanted to get titles because of swag...but at several hundred? That's money that I need to put towards bills.

Funnily enough, I bought a FMA:B BD collection on Christmas that I ultimately had to return because of a bundle FUNi started to offer with one of the collections I was missing and the OVAs. Haven't gotten around to it yet - this will give me the push to go for it.

Strange. I never saw myself owning a copy of FMA:B but here we are.

First Baccano, now FMA?! What's next Bebop? Champloo?? *Sigh*

Cowboy Bebop is a Bandai/Sunrise title and was only released about a year ago by Funimation. It won't be disappearing anytime soon. I believe Samurai Champloo was from Kadokawa.

The titles that were recently removed at Funimation and will soon be removed have all been Aniplex titles.

I mean seriously they're letting a prestigious anime like this expire? What's going on over at Funi lately? It makes sense now that the original FMA and the movie suddenly arrived on blu-ray ,with a huge price reduction on the original one as well, at least on Amazon. I'm pretty sure my beloved Kanon is on the shit list next so I might as well buy it now.

CR is going through the Same thing even more extensive with a Lot of Good Titles ( Some quite recent and popular / some are favorites of mine ) The brief comment was buried in SITE SUPPORT . The anime industry is going through a lot of changes right now! I was going to leave it be but you got to be fair and show what CR is losing for now ( maybe back ? )

FMA is good for new or viewers that haven't seen it. / I watched 2 or 3 time already so I have lots of new and other shows to watch!

Multiple Sentai Filmworks Catalog Anime Titles End Crunchyroll Streaming CHRIS BEVERIDGE / THE FANDOM POST

Crunchyroll Header LogoForum regular and all around detail oriented guy WTK has put together a new list of a number of titles from Sentai Filmworks that have recently ended their streaming run on Crunchyroll. Titles come and go with streaming all the time, though services have gotten roughed up a bit by users in the last several months about getting more notification about this – something that isn’t always in their control. In fact, Crunchyroll has addressed this rather quickly after the initial list first surfaced as they stated,

“We wanted to briefly address some comments we’ve seen about catalog availability. The licensing process creates situations where we may, for a time, not have the license to particular titles, and we’re currently working with our partners to bring them back. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Clarification on Catalog Availability

For the time being, these titles look to have ended their streaming run but could make their way back.

I think by 2019, anime companies will start producing Ultra High Definition Blu-Ray's for the best picture quality and sound anime has to offer.

I expect CR to put FMA BROTHERHOOD to be avaliable in the Americas, UK and Ireland.

I buy their products. Not happy to pay that price but im not going to wait for a maybe that they will go out of business. Or maybe other companies will be able to get their titles and release them for a lot less.
