I live on Hot Pockets and bread scraps my neighbors throw out for the birds.

Yes, but I'm better. The few dishes I know how to prepare, I cook it better, but I guess she has more experience, she wins me in that case

My mom is a great cook she learned from her dad and grandma so she has 3 generations of experience and she's been cooking since she was 12. And as they say practice makes perfect.

Nope, not really. When I was growing up my sister and I always loved it when my dad cooked because he was really amazing. My mom just didn't have the touch at all. She was a really good baker though so I guess that made up for it.

No, not at all. My father was the one that would do the cooking when I was a child instead of my mother.

Similiarly to me. My mom had little cooking knowledge compared to my dad who had cooked since he was young.
