I want to create a gaming martial art, yup, you heard that right. A variety of techniques that will allow you to do drastically better than your opponents. Quite literally it's called Gemujutsu, gemu is the Japanese word for game, and everyone who watches Naruto knows jutsu means technique.

I'm basically going to start by playing games and experiment with techniques that seem to work on as variety of games, not just one. And eventually make techniques out of them for the martial art.

The Teabag would inevitably be a forbidden technique, and most games derive from true martial arts, so it's no different from "mixed" martial arts.

Your actually not far off from an actual thing, Like I've been taught some fundamentals of swordplay and theres like, rules and objectives from swordplay that can be applied to video games, but its kinda hard to explain in words.
Like theres measuring your attacks and the distance and range it does like how far is who ever, and how should you move if you are to move, then is moving good, would they move or attack, and thus if you move and they swing, would you be hit?
Its alot and im not even explaining everything XD
But not only, it might be that some of these tings can help you have a head start in a brand new video game, but then... gosh this is a bit to explain.

super smash bros is probably a good research material :p
though many attack / defense moves used are based on real life martial arts

Fighting games is kinda where you can learn this alittle better, I can help you if you have any Online fighting games or something?
plus I can show you some youtube videos where people show how you fight old sword and shield styles and stuff like Viking warfare.

Flashy or practical martial arts? and is it a weapon style or fist style? i think most likely the witcher 3 is most accurate for sword combat all though he completely excludes half swording. metal gear 5 his CQC is actually really good dark souls has a mix of good a bad techniques but alot of them are really great. alot of styles are for combating other styles so u may need to make several move variations to counter others.

wait so this is from gaming not for a game?

oh well, would want a new fighting game that attacks in a more untraditional way.
