I can read a 300 page book in about 7 or 8 hours. As for how much I read, tons back in 9th grade I read 22,000 pages; all novel no comics or manga.

I read books all the time.

I don't write, though.

I love to read! I try to read as much as I can, but its hard finding time. I'm lucky if I can finish a book every few months.

I write stories sometimes, but I'm not a very good writer.

You're not uneducated.

*Smiles warmly* Thank you. I didn't mean to imply that to others who haven't touched one in a long time either.

Same, but visual novels are really heavy-writing oriented also

I constantly read. As soon as I finish a book, I'm out to get another or two. Love it so much! All forms of genre, to History and Science, and documentary.

I like to write also. Short novels, poems, passages, philosophy, and fanfiction. That last one really helps with expanding my literary skills, as I put them out for some good critique.

I don't mind people that don't like to read. Not for everyone!

I don't read any fiction, not even manga. Last time I read fiction was in college.

One day, I just lost interest in people. Therefore this caused me to lose interest in characters, as most fiction is about people. If you don't have any interest in what the characters are saying, you can't really get into the story. So I haven't read a fiction book since.

Writing my own stories. I have so many rules set up for myself which really contradict the point of writing a story. I don't want to write about bad experiences. This is one rule that really limit my storywriting. I really don't want to relive bad experiences, or have bad people be immortalized in my stories, so I made up that rule I will never write about bad experiences/people in my life because I don't want to remember them.

It really limits my storywriting; most authors can write because they're inspired by their bad experiences. I'm just not like that. I don't want to immortalize those people even more.

Number 2: I don't like that stories have to have drama. Why must there be conflict?
Rule 3: I don't like stories that have good vs. evil. I'd rather have a story where all characters have flaws/ability to do wrongs.

Having made up those rules, I can't really write about anything, rofl. I set up my own dead ends.

I'm not without options of course, my other option is parody and satire of popular works. However, I'm not really that good at satire. I may be able to come up with a good satirical one-liner on internet forums every now and then, but to write a novel based on satire? is actually really hard.
