Now by my definition, promiscuous would likely include some degree of infidelity, and I might chastise my child for that. I think cheating is disgusting. I'm not a big fan of pursuing and or enforcing sexual mores because I feel that's not my purview or my business, but I won't have a child that cheats on his or her spouse.

To be fair to the OP, "promiscuous" was my word, not his. He used other terms, including "sleeping around."

By my definition, promiscuous in this context means having multiple sex partners, chosen relatively indiscriminately, and does not imply that one has any sort of agreement with any of them to not have sex with others.

Someone being promiscuous might be cheating on someone, but is not necessarily cheating on anyone.

Are there no Condoms in the USA? I know, condoms are not 100% safe but this forum makes me feel like nobody in the USA is using condoms.

Yeh that the case actually it's worse in the U.K. UK has the most spread sexual diseases than anywhere else. However from personal expierence I have only used condoms with one person out of all the multiple relationships I have had ( and we werent in the USA XD) I am surprised I don't have a kid by now.

I had a friend who just got a girl pregnant because he was a moron and though if you were smart you couldn't grt a girl pregnant even if you use no protection (pulling out)
He's a moron the diffrence between me and him and I am fully aware of the risk and I'm lucky to have not knocked someone up yet.
Mainly I think it's due to me dating mostly virgins and non of them being or caring about the risk I mean they never ask or don't want to use one because its's better without a condom apparently at the uuh end.

A lot of places in the US don't even want to be bothered teaching sex education or any type of birth control. So, people resort to what they can.

I was careless years ago but now I know better.

Honestly, my first reaction would be wash my hands then slap the back of their head. If the emotion gets into me, I might unleash a belt and do the "tough love."

Then, do what lorreen just posted.

Tell them next time they will use better judgement or they will be paying for the doctor themselves. Of course there will be a lot more leeway if his or her sex partner purposely lied about not having a STD because then there would be lawsuit on their hands.

By the time I have kids(if I do) then STDs won't exist or be instantaneously cured.

Or they'll just be stronger and more resistant to drugs.

Diseases/ Infections can only evolve, that's all they can do at this point. Humanity on the other hand is closer to forcing evolution, so basically evolving ourselves at the flip of a switch.

I would have made my kid watch the Chapelle Show "Kneehigh Park" segment,

If they still managed to get an STD after that, I'd laugh at them and proceed to sing the short song of the disease he or she has.

Get my child treated then have him/her tell their partner(s) that they were treated for an STD and should get checked. Then probably talk to them, if they wanna fuck around like that, then do it the safe way, wear a condom unless you are in a monogamous relationship and you can trust your significant other. Or if you know all the people you letting them stick in or are sticking it in are clean. If you can't learn your lesson once, then idk what to tell you.
