Sadly, it's the LN rather than anime but it's still more Spice and Wolf.

It will go on sale for April 9th. Hopefully this will mean a third season in the future so I'm going to keep my hopes up. We got a lot of surprising announcements in the past few months already so anything is possible.

!!!!!!!! Dick move man, I was hoping for season 3 hype. but that's still good news.

I seriously hope they make a third season, especially if they can keep the same voice actors.

3-5 years? Yen press will probably talk about bringing over the sequel sometime this summer and release it next summer at the latest. My money is on a spring 2017 release. Yen press is alot more serious about light novels now then they were 4-5 years ago. Have a bit more hope

Not to mention, S&W is one of their biggest sellers [LN-wise], but I'm also betting on a 2017 release if they go for it, since it'll most likely be under a new contract (possibly?)

saw that news earlier, but sorry guys i don't think a third season will air. I mean the LN was FINISH (and still is since it's "just" a sequel) for years and yet they didn't adapt it in anime despite his sucess so... Dunno why they aren't doing it but if they still haven't done it until now, i doubt they will start soon.

I will happy to be wrong, but not going to hold my breath since they consistently released each book 5 years after the Japanese release. Including the last book in the original run coming out this April.

The reason why the English volumes were released so much later than the Japanese volumes was because the series was picked up years after the series had started and because Yen press didn't have a consistent schedule when it came too releasing them back then. Almost all the light novel series they have nowadays release a new volume every 4 months Spice & Wolf included just like most series do in Japan. Don't worry the times have changed since the days of old the English light novel market has a bright future

I have the LN volumes 15 and 16 here waiting for me to finally be done with my exams so I can read them. Then 17 should get released soon (or is it already? I lost track)
Certainly don't mind if there'll be even more, never liked the idea that 2016 will be the year I finish the last book.
