Don't eat 3 hours before sleeping. Try to raise your pillow a little. Avoid too much acidy foods. Don't lay down too much.

I'd try stuff like that before drugs personally, but its your choice.

Never had hearburn before so I don't know any remedies (other than just drinking away lol). I can pretty much eat whatever I want as much as I want and it doesn't bother me. Although there was that one time a Hispanic friend of mine brought some type of hot sauce back from Mexico when he visited family. He wouldn't say what it was, but he did indicate you couldn't get it in the US... I've tried absinthe and other things that are normally rough to try but this stuff had me purple.

My parents are doctors, I'll see what I can do.

Maybe take a pill like paracetamol, it's to calm the pain and it's not a very strong pill.

Edit: Oh you don't have pills... mhhh, sleep and drink an orange juice or some chicken soup, maybe you're just about to get sick.

Sorry if I couldn't help you enough. I always have pills in my house so I don't know what are some home remedies.

I use less water because it tastes like hell.

Papaya enzyme, usually found it tablet form, works decently for various digestive problems.

At least it has for me.

Then again, I've never had like frequent heartburn problems that some people have. *shrug*

It might depend on your symptoms. Are you having acid reflex, bloating or pain in your stomach/esophagus area? Is it happening regularly or just depending on what you eat? About two years ago I had all those symptoms and some more. Kept going back to the doctors cause my conscience was telling me that something was wrong. My doctor that I dropped ever since didn't diagnose me properly. I ended up seeing another doctor when mine wasn't available at the time. Ended up diagnosing me with peptic ulcer which lead to Helicobacter pylori bacteria. It took two bleeping months to finally have a doctor diagnose me properly. I was on antibiotics for two weeks. Really really painful stuff. My stomach and movements have still not gotten back to what it once was. If its just heartburn then maybe tums might just do it for you. If its persistent then don't wait. Your body might be giving you signs. Get well!

Seriously, you're using cr for medical advice now? If I told you a home remedy was to swallow chilli peppers and stick your foot in your mouth is that something you'd do? Christ lol.

Avoid anything spicy, fatty or citrusy. Buy some antacids at a pharmacy and learn how to use google which would have given you the information you needed in a few seconds.

I thought I could ask anything I wanted on this site as long as it's not hurting anyone. I don't see what the problem is.

It's okay to ask, but it should have been in Advice, Info, Recommendations rather than General Discussion. I've moved it over there now.

It's hurting my faith in human intellect. Mods, please take her away.

See look, even the person above linked sources to other websites. Good lad.

Please treat other users more respectfully, or the mods (of which I am one) will take you away. Your tone in several of your posts in this thread is not appropriate for CR's forums. The only reason I'm not outright deleting those posts right now is that in doing so I'd end up messing up the posting order for everyone else (due to a known bug with threads.), and qualeshia has already seen them.

For temporary relief of acid reflux and such I add a tablespoon of sugar to a glass of milk and stir well then sip on it slowly. Usually it kills acid in pretty much the same way it does when both are added to tomato sauce.
