Petty question but hey, this is Crunchyroll. Anything goes.

I lift in the gym regularly so my hands are rough and calloused. And surprisingly, I'm a bit self conscious about it. Compared to my gf, her hands are as soft as silk. I feel bad whenever we hold hands, but she says she honestly doesn't mind.

So girls, do you prefer guys with rough hands or soft hands?

Is... is this a thing? Should I wear my gloves more often? I actually preferred my hands to be a bit hardened.

You know, you need some rough hands to go rough right? (and big too)..
.....
so long they aren't bad for some handy work though

Well my scarred and calloused to hell and back hands really hope the answer from the majority of girls is yes. I mean it's not like my work nor personal life style are going to result in soft hands.

Rough hands makes you more masculine IMO.

It means you get shit done...Which should be more attractive then anything else.

Guys with soft hands

Try to moisturize your hands as often folks

Guys with rough hands are cool.

I don't really notice if someone's hand is soft or rough.

But I have noticed a lot of guys have dirty fingernails or really black dirt stuck in all their nails, and I always wondered why/how. Because mine are always clean, and it's not like I take extra care of them.

You're wrong about that. There's also plenty of room between what you mind and what you might prefer.

You can be rough with soft hands, but it's more difficult to be soft with rough hands. I imagine most people of either gender would prefer soft over rough hands. Just like people preferring the young. It doesn't mean I wouldn't date someone beyond their 20s though. It's just a part of life.

Guy's hands are usually rough and girl's hands are usually soft.

I don't know what you're so worried about, it's normal

Many of my friends are musicians whose hands are calloused from playing stringed instruments. My cousin who plays the harp has more callouses on her hands than anyone else I know - including her father who laid brick all his life. Many of my friends are car guys who have oil and dirt so embedded in their hands from years of working under the hood that I don't think it'll ever come off no matter how much they scrub - and trust me they scrub with some pretty harsh stuff and use scrubber brushes to try to clean their hands.

Honestly, whether someone's hands are rough or soft only bothers me if their flesh is splitting open and looks painful due to the roughness, or if they have some kind of really gnarly warts or other skin disorder.

I find myself more likely to be repelled by someone whose hands are constantly moist and sweaty, or someone whose hands are usually cold who feels the need to stick them on me to see me jump.

I've done manual labor alot of my life but I guess my pure feminity has caused my hands to stay soft.
My fingers never even calloused after playing guitar for years. Weird.
