The Sad End of the #Mizzou Student Protests
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc6Z7AEEao8

The protest that was in november and tried to use public area for their "private" stuff.
Where much fall on gender and race studies and blame others and go agianst their OWN laws and blame white for USING such laws and says its unfair when they can do the same.

Do we need better teaching or studies?
More control? (teachers, what they teach and so on)

I'd rather remove the problem than try helping it in this specific case. Save humanity the trouble.

yes pay it, and then make groupes like 1950 that want to close it if not 1 person comes back... also if they don't agree they said and some done making noise or trouble others at their work for "minor" problems.

even though that chick broke the laws (+ was going to be setentced for 15 days of jail and it seems like that was dissmised into service insted) and should get a penalty for it.

They will muddle through with some patchwork quilt of probable impossibilities eventually. It was interesting to watch the recent ABC / Channel 17 footage about Mizzou. Imagine ancient, old white people (MU's Board of Curators) listening to the requests of the Student Council. I've always felt many supervisory boards focus on funding rather than students and likely feel more comfortable chasing after the $$$ rather than placating the wants of 20-something children.

Who(m)ever the new Grande Poobah is the main attribute determining their candidacy and eventual hire will likely be their ability to chase after funding, be it state, federal, private donor. It's a cautionary tale descending the slippery slope of fiscal madness. Mizzou is currently considering 3 candidates for an intermediary position representing diversity. It could be Mizzou is trying to take steps to meet the needs of students, grad students. They sucked at it 45 years ago when I went through there. Hopefully, they won't be consistent in that regard now.

We'll see.
