I don't fit any of these. I watch anime like I watch any other TV. I watch, I enjoy, the ones I really like I remember, the ones that are just meh or I didn't like I forget. Life moves on. I don't put anime on any higher pedestal than I put sci-fi. I'm probably a bigger Firefly, Star Trek, or Doctor Who nerd than I am an anime.

I've been watching anime almost my whole life. From being a kid glued to the screen watching Starblazers or Sailor Moon to the current season. None of these categories really cover either how I feel about or interact with anime.

I suppose I come closest to Daywalker but I make no effort to hide my enjoyment of anime. It's part and partial of the package that is "Me". The Miku Nendoroid sitting on desk at work declares it clearly.

Let me get this straight in order to like anime I have to be a fat useless slob with two weeks of facial hair and have skin so pale even the most die hard Twilight Fan thinks I need a tan.

Well fuck you all and the fat overfed asses you're sitting on, this Daywalker is going to kick your ass in cosplay, then hang you from the nearest flagpole from your underwear then kick back with a rerun of Golden Time.

Daywalker. or grumpy old fan.

Back in my day we watched anime on 7th gen VHS tapes with 50% static and no subs! And we liked it!

And we had to get those imported via comic book stores and paid 25+ bucks for 3-4 episodes. Sometimes only 2.

ugh don't remind me

Well it is more like I am the clothes horse of people much more creative than me. It started with Sophie, being an anime fan and a aspiring fashion designer she liked to use me as a practice model. Some cosplay outfits were more comfortable then others, though I think it's when she made me wear a Edward from FMA was the oddest.

I mean she may have had watched that series but I didn't and trying to answer questions about it from the other fans was an experience shall we say. Also the metal arm sleeve she made for the arm and leg was a bit over the top and unless I was holding a pose kinda sucked to wear. Walking around in the thing was like trying to walking around in plate armour.

Still have all the outfits she made me though. About the only outfit I put together myself was Dante from DMC3 and Vergil from DMC3 as well.
