So uh, regular old 87 grade gas in New York is currently hovering around $2 per gallon.

Here's $20 kid, make your dreams come true.

LOL I have no idea what u said to him, u shoulda included that, because if I was an employee at a game place and someone said that, I'd be like, "Uuuuuuuhm" and try not to laugh. I mean, obv he was trolling, but if he was being serious, yeah I would be like trying not to laugh.

but also I don't think it's fair for u guys to be mean and say he should get his car fixed before buying games or that his prioirties aren't straight.

I mean, so let's say it costs $2,000 to fix your car... so what, he can't watch anime (crunchyroll sub) or play videogames (buying $20 games) until he fixes his car?! That sounds a little harsh. I mean, that's almost the same thing as saying you can't go out with your friends or eat out until you fix your car...

He's probably saving up to fix it, in gradual steps, rather than being an extremist and shutting off all irl fun until he can fix it..

Tell him to just stop eating to save money, since he clearly is able to freely ignore his priorities.

I mean even if you are saving up to get the car fixed a new PS4 is a few hundred dollars. I could see him justifying watching a movie or getting the game if he already had the console, but buying a new console is definitely facepalm worthy.

He was buying a 400 dollar gaming console with his income tax return. Yeah, saying his priorities aren't in line is pretty accurate. Especially since this is all taking place in rural Mississippi. There is no public transportation here. If you want a job, or just a means to do anything from buying groceries, to literally anything else around here you need a semi-dependable vehicle.

Oh he was trying to buy the WHOLE thing? I thought he already had the console because of Naruto.

Yep. He shouldve waited for one piece burning blood before he bought a ps4. (even then, go with pc or xbox)

This is an event? I feel old saying this, but what's the big deal exactly? This is a major issue or something? This is worth slapping someone over? Really? He said his car wouldn't make it? Maybe he didn't want to travel that far to get a game. I don't blame him really. I guess I don't get the problem here.

If this customer threw a tantrum, and had to be escorted out of the store, than I would have laughed, but this is nothing. This happens everyday. Wow... I don't get it.

I have a story for everyone.

When I was working as a cashier, a customer came through my lane and asked me to put all his canned food in a single paper bag. I did as he asked, while asking if he would prefer it in other bags, I even told him it would be heavy. He said it was fine. The man picked up the bag later, gave me a look, and went to customer service to complain.

Guess what his complaint was about!

He said I did everything he asked, except I didn't make the bag lighter! You want to know how I learned about this complaint? My manager came over, and told me this, like it was an actual issue. She said it so seriously too, that I thought there was a real trick to making a bag of groceries lighter.

So this happened once.

Employee: "Too much 2 learn u have to"

Did you miss the part where I said the other store was 20 minutes away. That's about 15 miles. For most vehicles that's less than a gallon of gas. The average price of gas around here at the moment is $1.49 a gallon.
