Let me know if a thread like this one exist or not.
Thanks a bunches.

Is there a manga out there that has a terrible beginning, good middle, and amazing ending? Pretty much it starts off slow and boring then gets better than ends amazingly. The manga has to make you want to quit because the beginning was so terrible but you stick with it and it gets better and ends better. Do you know a manga like that? What are your thoughts?

List the full title of the manga, show a picture of the manga's cover, and explain how bad the beginning is.

Enjoy!!!

Kingdom

Reason why: It’s starts off as your standard cliche, shonen manga whose main flow is that it’s a historical military manga from a first person perceptive but once it enters the rebellion arc and coalition army arc thats when it hits its stride.

Honorable mentions

Negima. If it wasn’t for that copyright that ended the manga prematurely it could have ended greatly.

I am a hero. I personality haven’t read this one yet but from what i heard from my friends. The first volume is a chore too go through but after that it becomes amazing.

Ah My Goddess and SA: Special A, are two of my favorite manga that get off to slow starts, but in neither case would I call their start "terrible".

The one that best describes what you are talking about, for me, has to be Nozoki Ana, a seinen sex comedy/drama.

The two main characters both start off pretty annoying, and there is an attempted rape scene in an early chapter that I just found horrific the first time I read it, so I put it down. But, I consistently saw it recommended along with manga that I really liked, so I decided to give it another try. I gritted my teeth, got past the sexual assault, and the more I read, the more I started to like the characters. It had a fantastic ending, and it made me really change my opinion of the whole thing.

Sundome is probably the one I know of that most closely matches your description. I would say it is divided into "appalling", "decent", and "amazing" parts each comprising almost exactly one third of the series's eighty-one chapters. It is pretty much unreadably awful at first, but the ending is far and away the best I've ever seen in a manga. I've read more manga series than I can count, and I've never yet found one with an ending that even deserves to be ranked in the tier just below the one that Sundome's occupies.

Although, considering what that manga is actually about, especially at first, there are relatively few human minds built to really fathom what the fuck its story conveys; I don't know anything about you, but as a matter of statistics, you would probably see no value in it whatsoever.

I'd second every word MNMIKE has said. It starts out weird as can be but by the end you find yourself in love with the main characters. A definite warning though, its ecchi to the point of almost being hentai. What I can't believe is how accepted it's become. It's spawned an animated OVA series, a live-action movie and a J-Drama series. There's also a spin-off called Nozoki x Kimi that also follows the same pattern and has also been animated.
