If we're not careful, she could become the First Lady. Yeezy 2020 is kinda scary.

Hey... I'd at least like to have the first female president before we get the first First Lady in a porno.

Let's suppose the PRC takes Trump up on this and "takes care" of things. Let's suppose the sovereign government of the DPRK is effectively eliminated by the PRC either by diplomatic wrangling or cloak and dagger kinds of things.

You now have to contend with the fact that half the Korean peninsula just became Chinese territory. The nation across the DMZ is no longer the DPRK, it's China. Good job.

I'm all for isolationism. We've given too much to the world for the last 70+ years. How about we take a decade off and focus on our problems before we help others? Seems fair to me.

China should take care of North Korea. They're reepping an economic benefit from their trade zones that they've established there.

China keep North Korea around because they keep everyone distracted from their shenanigans and they aren't really losing anything over it.

As for what can the US do to China? Lots. China's export economy is slowing down hard. And Beijing is doing everything they can to mask this. As bad as it is publicly it is much worse privately. If the US were to, shall we say, re-evaluate its China trade policies given their recent aggressiveness in the South China Sea threatening longtime allies like the Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan, the Chinese economy would implode. China needs the US market waaaay more than the US needs increasingly less cheap Chinese labor. Especially with the new TPP treaty increasing trade relations with other countries with large, cheap labor pools like the Philippines and Indonesia. If we could couple this with expanded trade relations with Africa and South America it would more than make up for China.

What happens in China? Increasingly China is being run by 'communist' oligarchs so tied in with the mass amounts of money coming in they are less communist overlords and more banana republic kleptocrats. Combine this with a massive population that is getting addicted to luxuries and a higher standard of living, should this system crash they would probably be facing an uprising.

In exchange for keeping the trade going the US can, and should, pressure China to rein in North Korea.

Nor is a rogue North Korea exactly in China's interests. Should a second Korean War start North Korea is doomed. While they have numbers and would probably be able to inflict a lot damage on Seoul in the first 48 hours, the technological and logistical edge that South Korea (and the US) has would overwhelm them. Then China would have a united, democratic Korea on its doorstep.

im not even sure the USA can stand on its own anymore. everything electronic comes from china, in whole or in part. blocking chinese imports, and suddenly the cost of eletronics goes up 10 fold. thats assuming america still even HAS the production capabilites to manufacture the goods.

my mouse, made in china. my laptop, made in china. my other laptop, made in china. thats outright made in china, not accounting for the hundreds of simple parts that cost penys from china vs nickels stateside. thats why i laugh when some one says to block chinese imports, its just like the illegal problem in the southwest, alot of business cant afford to heir legal workers.

I'm not positive China has as much hold over N. Korea as it used to, even if they were convinced to act. If you all remember the uncle that was executed so publicly for treason not that long ago, as I recall, he was the highest ranking person in the DPRK with strong business/diplomatic ties to China.

NK has a huge reliance on China, actually, since they're one of the few countries that supports them. Good luck trying to get China out of THAT tightly bound relationship, Dump Trump. Implying that the fucker would even become president in the first place... can he please just drop out of the race already, and leave it up to the actual politicians instead of constantly flaunting his fucking freakshow? Getting a bit tiresome to watch him be an asshole, an oaf, generally a fool.

That won't happen. He will make China give North Korea to the U.S.

Look, Trump is the best at China. He will make a deal, and China will give us what we want. Trump will make China the 51st state in the U.S. He's going to hire really good people, and make the best deal. Trump is the best at deals. He even wrote a book, "The Art of the Deal". It's a best seller. The best book about deals. Trump wrote it. He is the best at writing books. Trump 2016.

Without the rest of the worlds help, your economy would collapse. Isolationism is not practical.

You forgot to say "this deal is going to be so YUGE! We're going to be winning so much from this deal. China will be willing to agree to it because they love Trump. Everyone loves Trump. They think he's great. He's super rich, so he must be smart. He has big brains. He knows how to do business with China. Trump never loses."
