So.. Lately there has been a rise in awareness of cancer as you know, with renowned people such as David Bowie having to pass away because of it.

Cancer is a very serious topic and is a much closer to you than you think it is! It has taken away a few people dear to me already and today my brother checked for lumps on his smooth criminals (Deadpool reference) and there was; a rather large and irregular one. I'm going with him on Monday to have it properly examined, and fingers crossed it's nothing too serious. I'm a little shaken right now and i'm being strong for him because we haven't confirmed anything yet.

Don't leave it too late!

Ladies and gents, check for those lumps!
It's as easy as 1,2,3!

I always check.

In 10 more years, the chances of DNA replicating error for me increases by 80%, hence the chance of getting cancer also increases. It's a natural cycle of life.

For men, we can't check for lumps, we have to let someone professional check it for us. If you feel unwell from anything, just go get blood tests, it doesn't necessarily have to be lumps.

There's a test in https://www.23andme.com/en-int/ that analyses your DNA to check if you're prone to any Cancer related issue or any other longterm/shorterm illness or allergies (to any kind of element, pills).

They also tell you your ethnicity origins, where your ancestors came from, analysis by both your mother's and father's side.

It looks very cool, but haven't bought it since it's not available in my region

Seeing as 3/4 of my family has had cancer, and I lost some grandparents to it... if I am going to die before 40, then it will be cancer. If not... welp, I am still dying at 40!

Testicular cancer is rare. Several other things it could be, most of them harmless and easily treatable. Even if it is cancer, the survival rate for testicular cancer is 99% when it's found early. Even if it spreads, survival rate is still >90%. It's easily treated with surgery/chemotherapy.

I had a scare a few years ago. Wasn't cancer though.

I had to endure 1 of these a decade ago. Don't recall much other than awaking in a room at cave temperature. Brrrrrr. It wasn't the humilation of having something rammed up in that direction so much as the $1200 outta pocket expense. Boo hoo!
