I love my PS Vita! I play mainly JRPGs and I really enjoy playing Freedom Wars, Persona 4 and 3, Disgea 4, Oreshika and Atelier Ayesha Plus (which is really fun), . The only thing I don't really like about the ps vita is the price of the memory cards, but I got an 64 GB memory card on amazon for my birthday, so now I have lots of space. Overall I recommend this system if you like JRPGs or niche titles.

Niche is the word when it comes to Conception II i know its not for everyone, also not a Vita exclusive but i loved that passage in my life when i would kick back with my Vita and plough hours into that game. I think the whole Ps Vita as a device is grossly under rated.

Do you use a holding pad or grip for your Vita sid2tiger ?

This is the one i have it's a perfect fit for the Ps Vita Lite but you cannot charge it when it's plugged into this thing sadly but it's excellent makes holding the Vita so much nicer then without.

Best handheld available by far. The quality of the system blows me away. Big screen, fast OS, tons of multi-media options, library full of games that interest me, massive extended library thanks to PSN, strong hardware, etc.

I love my 3DS, but it's frustrating even trying to use it anymore. Compared to the Vita it feels 10 years out of date.

I hate the mandatory expensive Vita memory cards though. Considering they were the sole reason I hesitated for over a year to buy one, I'm willing to bet it's a big part of why it failed.

I held off getting a Vita for the same reason. If it weren't for the fact that I got one as a Christmas back in 2014, I still would have been holding out. It was easier to rationalize buying a 32GB memory when the system itself was free. I'm enjoying the gaming selection but if you asked me which handheld I prefer (3DS/PS Vita), I'd have a hard time choosing since I enjoy both systems but for different reasons.

Personally love my Vita, honestly wish I had bought it sooner than I did. It's a good system to play JRPGs on.

Graphically? Battery wise? Took UMD's? You gotta give some context with that statement.

I think that Sony owes me some money for false advertising ^~^ I remember thinking "This guy is gonna be as powerful as my PS3, ooh look at these specs" Now I see better looking games on my iphone, Apparently GTA sanandreas on the iphone makes more sense on my buttonless touchscreen phone but not on my Vita. Thanks Sony, and now with the VR stuff Sony is putting all there attention on that.

I think a few bad points have been raised about owning a PS Vita for me the 2 stand out cons would be the rubbish Playstation Network from which we are forced to to updates and downloads arse numbingly slow speed the 2nd one would be the memory cards they have the monopoly on those little things i miss the Playstation days when cheap rip off memory cards were available :D

But dont get me wrong I'm very pro PS Vita and i love mine

Not suited for western audience imo. Console is totally shit in the west, but one of the best in Japan. Also, I feel like NA sony doesn't care about the console.

Functionality, like using common memory cards - customization of the home screen - that kind of stuff. It just seems like the Vita is all about power and sony controlling ever single little aspect of it.

The PSP wasn't a bad handheld, it just got plagued by hacks, so in a sense I understand why the Vita is what it is, but in order for it to succeed in the states at least, it should be more versatile. I don't really know how Sony is going to do it, but given the success of the PS4 and now its VR headset coming out, its like their firing on all other cylinders but the Vita.

As a big fan of imports and JRPGs (... and import JRPGs), the Vita was made for gamers like me. I do not regret the purchase at all, though, like other users, the proprietary memory cards are a huge turn-off, and the Vita version of the PSN Store is incredibly glitchy (for me, at least).

All the PSN storefronts are absolute trash. The only semi-headache free way to shop on the PSN is through the store browser on a computer.

It has a library that is half good, half bad.
The bad is the "popular" sony titles that have that american/mainstream feel to it or the ports of good franchises on consoles.
The good is all the anime games you can play on it.
It is basically what that machine is made for now and I love it.
You just need to know where to look for the good games.

A few notable examples are: Akiba's Trip, Corpse Party: Blood Drive, Dangan Ronpa, and Persona 4 Golden.

I'd love to purchase a Vita, that way I can have the complete experience along with my PS3 and PS4. Honestly I would be happy to buy it only to play Persona 4 Golden, but I know there are quite a few other amazing games for the platform. That Uncharted game looks awesome and a very good addition to an amazing franchise.

So when I finally get the money, I'll be sure to buy a Vita in the future. It's an amazing console that had a terrible fate.

It's cool, at least I can play Omega Boost on it, which is the best game ever.

The Vita is great if you're into jrpg's or other japanese games.
It's also becoming a good place for visual novels it seems with games like Stein's Gate and the upcoming Psycho Pass.

And btw for those who don't know, Limited Run Games, a company who does limited physical runs for Vita and PS4 games has been hinting at a collaboration with Sekai Project for a while now. Maybe we're gonna see the Fruit of Grisaia trilogy on Vita soon, i hope it does.

The Vita is a great system, one of the better designs, but the price of producing decent games and fear that a lack of global sales limits who is willing to produce games for it. I'm surprised that Ni no Kuni 2 isn't being developed for it. Sony has a tendency to lower its products distribution by trying to be the sole producer of components, like the PS2 memory cards and the Betamax fiasco. Great system but is failed by its company's lack of foresight/hindsight.
