28 days before I got into safety I worked on the winch trucks and I was assigned to one driver the second swamper came in drunk so he got fired and I ended up being the only swamper they had left among 3 drivers. It takes a week of training before they allow any new hires into a truck so they had to make due with me until they could hire and train a new swamper. Good paychecks while it lasted, will not do that again for any company.

Six months, seven days a week, twelve hours a day.

Gotta love the military.

Used to be 24/7 365 a few years back since I was always on call. I know one year I worked nearly every day since I never took a vacation that year. Not sure how many in a row it was though... Now it's more like 4 days a week at daytime hours. Kind of varies now since I can do what I want more or less.

Yeah, pretty much every day of my contract in the military; Minus the holidays. And don't get me started on my year long deployment, my very first year in the army, haha.

God damn, the most I've put in was 30 days straight and never again!! It wasn't 8 hour days either most of them where 12 hour days. Those two paychecks where sweet but not worth it for me.

Was deployed to Iraq for 13 months, managed to take leave for two weeks after 7 months and then went back for the next 6. So that was about 240 days, knew some guys who didn't even take leave and served the whole 13 and others who only had 5 months back then went back to serve another deployment.

15 months. Took the first leave slot since no one else wanted it (we all knew we'd be there for a long tour, and no one wanted to waste their leave right at the beginning). Was a bit under 14 months straight after I got back from leave.

Deployments suck.

And are the best time of my life.

At the same time.

Some could say it depends on what you work with etc, even though no free time at some could lead to... negative things (mentally, frustration or become crazy).

so with the rules we have there shouldn't be anymore then 6 days together any longer then that is illegal. (else my maxium was 7, while some rather free work was around 14 days and wasnt all that bad)
But agian if I had a less taxing job on my body I could do it more and for more hours.

That's funny, I've kind of started this cycle... although I'm getting my first day off this Sunday in 2 months. But I have 2 jobs.
