There's an easy solution to this. DVD's. People who complain about anime lagging on streaming sites piss me off so much. Seriously...if it's that painful for you just buy a hard copy and actually help the anime industry

As far I can tell. this discussion could be closed anytime soon.
Its true that while Crunchyroll web player may several times be on flaws , ipad web app is currently exported to Crunchyroll Plex App which denote the lack of reliability of web player which is based on Adobe Flash.

Crunchyroll is forced by contract with the publisher to use Adobe Flash as a mean of self guardianship of copyright content

The Windows Phone Crunchyroll's app was released in 2012 for Windows Phone 7.5 and still don't support 720p or 1080p at this mere moment.

If you are paying for a service, is it not wrong not to expect better?

There's a bunch of other sites out there who stream for free and they do it flawlessly on the web browser. Web browsing streaming should be an issue CR should focus more since the website is the front page of their business and is the one that generates the most traffic.

AMEN.

I've been on and off as a member of crunchyroll since it first started up waay back, and I completely agree with your rant! I've experienced lots of this--and it's not just because of my internet connection!
It's not that I haven't been grateful that I don't have to wait hours to load episodes like back in the day, but seriously and honestly, I believe Crunchyroll has a lot of tweaking to do--especially after all this time. The manga section has seriously been getting to me, too, but I won't get started on that.
Anyhow, I feel a real issue Crunchyroll has is next to zero personalization options. Yes, I have a profile and an anime queue, period. Crunchyroll is one the only sites where I feel I can in a way actually pay my gratitude forward to the creators of the anime and manga love--that's why I joined as a premium member! Perhaps I should be satisfied with just that fact alone, but no, I am not satisfied as a subscriber and I feel I do indeed have a right to be! I'm not asking for the whole world of anime and manga at my feet--I am, however expecting Crunchyroll to do their part as the site they advertise themselves to be.
Back to my point of personalization options, it's a small detail really, but I find it crucial because dude, if other sites who make next to nothing to share my love of anime and manga can cater to helping me keep note of my interests then a "official" paid site like Crunchyroll should at least give me that option when they're being paid to do it. For now, right at this moment, all I'm asking for is--I want to be able to keep tabs on all the manga and anime they offer(especially bc it's such a small selection, excuses or no excuses it should be doable!!) so I know where I'm at and which ones I've read or want to read INSTEAD OF having to scroll down FOREVER through everything again because I have poor memory, and yeah, please FIX that translation error on that manga page!!!! I'm not asking them to get rights to everything! They can at least do that!

And might I personally add that whoever does the commercials for other anime and stuff that plays when I watched episodes as a non-premium member needs to step it--they're boring and make me not want to check out those other series bc it looks so sloppy-choppy in your cms--honestly, the only commercial I can bear to watch and really consider is the one with the elephants and Jackie Chan with the rhinos... that's my complete opinion of those bc if you'd fix up those other commercials you may get more subscribers, but then again one of the many reasons why I subscribed was bc I could not take anymore of those self-produced choppy commercials once it got past the part where the crunchyroll girl entered the mario-game-like-setting and everything blah-blah-ed-sloppy-choppy.... Ok? At least make some new commercials in place of those. Thanks, that's all.

My rant is over for today thanks for starting this rant--it's almost everything I've wanted to say forever.

The site works fine for me, as long as I have a good internet connection. The problems start when my internet is inconsistent. It's because of how CR buffers (or doesn't buffer). I would prefer if I could pause the video and let it download half before I start streaming, so my connection will be able to keep pace with the show. As it is I often have to pause, watch 2 minutes, pause, watch 2 minutes...

Ultimately it's my connection's fault, but it would be nice if CR buffered better (like Youtube).

Hell I'm definitely beyond fed up with the streaming issues. I can hardly ever stream in even SD quality during the time of day I actually can watch anything so I'll sit here downloading the episodes elsewhere and then leaving the stream open and muted so it plays through on here when I'm watching shows that I've downloaded. The stuttering and constant freezing is so annoying.

And yep, that's exactly what I'm doing right now because I couldn't get through the last episode of Erased. I haven't had the time to watch anything in two weeks and I can't even get through one fucking episode during the minimal time I have tonight. I'm paying for this subscription, I should be able to use it.

I'm thinking of unsubbing just due to never having what I want while hulu has it half the time.

Plus CR is still using flash player which makes watching stuff a pain in the ass. Skyrim is easier on my computer than CR's flash player -_-;
