I would like to live forever as long as I did not have to sell my soul to do so.

I think the idea of living forever would be very mentally taxing.

I think to be immortal on earth/in this physical realm, would be to never grow beyond it, never serve your purpose for existence here and hopefully move on to a higher state of being.

The Bible speaks of two deaths, one being the death of the body as we know it and the second being the death of the spirit. http://www.bible.ca/ef/expository-revelation-2-11.htm

Higher than the question of our duration is the question of our deserving. Immortality will come to such as are fit for it, and he would be a great soul in future must be a great soul now. ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? ― Matthew 16:26

“Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.” ― Susan Ertz

“The short space of threescore years can never content the imagination of man; nor can the imperfect joys of this world satisfy his heart. Man alone, of all created beings, displays a natural contempt of existence, and yet a boundless desire to exist; he scorns life, but he dreads annihilation. These different feelings incessantly urged his soul to the contemplation of a future state, and religion directs his musings thither. Religion, then, is simply another form of hope; and it is no less natural to the human heart than hope itself.” ― Alexis de Tocqueville

Sure, as long as I stop aging. I wouldn't want to live forever in a body that could barely function.

I said yes, but only as long as I had the secondary powers of stopped aging and immunity to illness and permanent injury/getting thrown into the sun/in a vacuum. And powers to keep me from getting trapped under rubble or locked in a jail cell. That would get old fast.

Yes, I do want to live forever. All things considered, even being single and having a shitty job, I really enjoy life and I have fun. I love having fun and I don't feel like life will ever be long enough for me to have enough of it.

...or at the very least I really WANT to enjoy life and do my best to try. I have a strong feeling I wouldn't enjoy death that much anyway, I've been close enough to be able to assume that much.
