In that situation yes. He got the jump on them. It very distinctly depicted that they were stronger than him. It doesn't take much skill to stab somebody with a knife though when they are completely off guard. The last guy quickly detained Eren, Mikasa then picked up a knife and stabbed him while he was off guard by focusing on Eren.

If a 10 year old walked toward you with a knife you would probably be completely unsuspecting also, given that you haven't experienced something like that before.

On the other hand, if they went to the police considering how far it would be, the guys would have gotten away, sold Mikasa, and vanished into the wind. The police of that world would also probably dismiss the case as pointless since she was an orphan now anyway.

The small chance that Eren found her was really her only path to salvation.

And how was Eren suppose to know the success rate? It reeks of irresponsibility to take matters into your own hands when he was ten. Also, I see you sidestepped my complaint about you talking about my age. What, we can't talk about each other without insulting each other or make insinuations about each other about why we are naive?

Think of it this way. If you read a story about why rape is good, you'd be pissed off too, right? That's probably true. I mean, it's one thing to feature acts you think are immoral, but to justify certain acts would probably feel a bit....wrong? To me the role of Eren just felt self serving, violent, and ultimately a bit too black and white for my taste, but that's because of how it relates to my morality.

I can honestly say I have never "hated" an anime. Gotten bored or disinterested? sure. Never hated. no point in hating. Just stop watching. But, even that is rare. Now, are there overrated anime? hell yeah! but, someone out there likes something I don't... not really sure why

I never insulted your age. Rather, I put words in your mouth in a mocking manner.

This also wasn't about murder being justified, it was to show that Eren was extremely aggressive, that child slavery existed, and to give Mikasa a reason to like Eren.

Also considering that Eren knew how to kill two of those guys, I am sure he had some confidence that he would succeed.

I actually wouldn't be pissed about a story that tries to explain why rape is good, I'd be intrigued to the author's argument. I'd most likely disagree or find it completely misinformed, but I wouldn't be pissed. Stories and real life are 2 different things, stories present hypothetical consequences to extreme situations, in real life the consequences and extremity of a situation vary. So to me, you are saying that in the extreme situation of a kidnapping you would be offended that someone suggest not following the proper legal channels, and even more offended if their own brand of justice succeeded.

And you find nothing wrong with mocking me? This is an exchange of ideas, a debate of sorts, not a name calling fest. That's just being an asshole. If you are offended by something I say, I urge you to speak up. Although I suppose you have a point.

Why I shouldn't hate other Anime? Really?

Evey anime is somebody's favorite even if you personally don't like it.

But I will recognize bad production values, A studio doing some obvious animation shortcuts because they were tight on a deadline. a piss poor adaptation of source material and all that.

Uhhh If I said a show is shit, that's because I have already watched it.

Otherwise, I won't say anything since I haven't seen it other than, "okay, I'll check it out"

Don't know about anyone else tho

This I agree with. Hate is too strong an emotion to waste on entertainment. As far as what others believe: opinions are like assholes. Every body has one and they all stink. I.E.; if somebody doesn't like your anime then that is their problem and not yours.

EDIT: Foxed 2 typos.

So basically what you're getting at is that you regret having limited your exposure to anime for so long, and now that you're experiencing all the wonderful things it has to offer you've come to the conclusion that it's a bad idea to box yourself in? That the whole buffet is worth taking from?

I'd rather you'd come to that conclusion in less than 10 years, but I will express pleasure that you've come to it at all. Welcome aboard.

*ahem*

There's no such thing as a bad anime; just a bad adaption.

I honestly don't understand why people hate on anime. Especially SAO have no idea what people are on about when they say they hate it. For me to hate an anime it literally has to be where absolutely everything about that anime was terrible and could be agreed to be terrible by the majority of people, otherwise it's just my own opinion and ill keep quiet. But i don't mind reviews about certain parts of the anime i didn't like, there's always some part of an anime you don't really like well at least most of the time there is.

SAO is actually garbage and it's not wrong to like garbage, but don't be surprised when people laugh at you for it.
