I haven't had to tie a tie in years, but I feel as if it's like riding a bike, so yes.

Nope. I have to watch a video every time, then promptly forget soon after.

I've never had an occasion where ties for women was needed so I never had to learn.

Back in the 1980s when it was fashionable for women to wear neckties, I was the only girl in my class who could tie my own necktie. My father taught me the half-windsor. All the other girls had to put their neckties on their boyfriends or someone else's neck to tie them properly, and then lift them over the head and put them on and tighten them.

Although most medical students and doctors are expected to wear neckties, those in certain fields only wear clip-ons and in general they all have to wear a tie pin or clasp to keep it from flopping into their patient's face when they lean over them for instance to examine their patient's eyes. Doctors in emergency rooms usually wear clip ons because it is not uncommon for a patient in extreme pain or who is drugged and hallucinating to grab the tie and not let go. Of course both these reasons are probably part of why so many doctors at the hospital I work in wear bowties instead.

No. Grandpa did it for me years ago and I've just used that one ever since.
