Yes, forced to wear a tie four times a week at school for formal uniform. Learnt it in three go's, pretty easy actually.

I had to wear a tie at school (we wear uniform in the UK) so I had lots of practice. I still wear one to work. It never looks great but I can do it

Winsor/Pratt, double winsor, bowtie, string tie (looks like you bought a shoelace) and Gramps gave me one of his bolo ties.

Yeah...NO.

In school I had someone else tie it for me so I could adjust it. I basically wore it loose like a delinquent
Eventually I got tired of the stupid thing and didn't wear it anymore. And then the school decided on issuing clip-ons.
