Some of those titles I loved, and others I just couldn't get into. Those titles need a required taste to enjoy I think.....

I'd like to see more articles like this, maybe focusing on one genre at a time.

These are indeed some hidden gems buried in the catalogue of Crunchyroll. I especially would like to recommend Mushi-shi and Shin Sekai Yori. Tonari no Seki-kun is also a nice short to try out if you haven’t watch it yet.

It’s really disappointing though that only 3 out 10 anime which were mentioned are not region-restricted here… The initiative is really nice, but for some people with many region restrictions the live stream is kind of pointless yet again. Oh well, hopefully those lucky people who can watch it can really enjoy this event.

I'm a little bit suprised. I always thought that Mushi-Shi is popular . I mean not as popular as One Piece but well known.
But I'm really thankful for that list. I was searching for new animes a few weeks ago and I forgot to add them and I couldn't remember wich animes I choosed but they are all included in this list ^^.
It would be great if you could make more lists like this.

I've just started Shin Sekai Yori after reading this and the other comments. 3 Episodes in and I can tell it's going to be good. I love the world that has been created and the story is intriguing, so far it's really immersive. I'll have to add the others to my backlog! Cheers for pulling together a list like this, there's so many good series that I have missed/skipped.

The "Humanity Has Declined" is good. I would also recommend to check "Magicians Academy". It's a very funny series.

Sorry, can't look past the rotoscoping for Flowers of Evil. Never mind that I actually had an opinion of the animation style before the controversy over this. Well, I may eventually power through it. It does a disservice to any medium to dramatically change the art style as so.

Gimmie access to the manga through my subscription and then we'll talk.

Mushishi is pretty cool though.

Teekyu drives me nuts its like ADHD induced pain in my viewing experience. Mushi-shi on the other hand falls on the other side of Teekyu's spectrum. Mushi-shi has got to be one of my favourite shows in a long time in terms of its different tone and beautiful animation, with it's 30 minute run time and condensed single episodes that leave you learning something about your outlook on life by the end, whether that out look is about life itself or about others or even yourself, there is something to be found in each viewing.

I highly recommend Mushi-shi to anyone who wants a different look on life or anime for that matter.

PS it has an opening that sets the tone if there is a quick way to know if you'll like it watch the opening.
