Three small fossils (shark tooth, sea-urchin, crinoid) my parents bought from a museum - the paper tag that came with them asserts they are well into the tens of millions of years old, though I don't have them on hand to check the exact estimates.

I live in an old Edwardian house that still has the original hand painted stain glass window front door. Most houses on the street are the same.

I think the oldest thing in my house is a coin my grandma gave me.

If you are a big fan of the series, you can get the fullmetal alchemist pocket watch here. I just bought it:

That's a dead tie between my Type 99 Long Rifle and a Japanese officer's sword circa WWII. Though taking second place is a newly acquired piece in the form of a M14.

Having the Jap 7.7mm Arisaka Type 99 kind of surprised me as I had one for about 15 years and hunted deer with it.
Bagged quite a few. It was very accurate out to 150 yards w/iron sites. My best was at 175 yards, but that was more luck.

Mine had the MUM crest intact. Most had the crest ground off to some extent.
The last year of production didn't have the chrome lined bore.

Sadly I sold it about 8 yrs ago after I bought a Remington 700LH(left handed) in stainless chambered in 30-06.
Put a weaver 3-9 scope on it.

As far as swords I also have 2 WW2 era swords.
One is the standard issue Katana which was mass produced.
The second is a Wakizashi (short sword) that is of high quality with engraving on the blade and
has makers marks under the hilt. Beautiful woodgraining.

Seems we have a bit in common.

Wow, a topic that I am interested in appears in the GD! So I gotta chime in!

I have many antiquities. Is on par with my manga/anime collectibles. From coins to stamps, books etc. Coins dating back to roman era is probably the oldest. Oldest of interest and function though is a cylindrical record player from start of the 20th century. In full working condition with a full set of cylinders and use it for special occasions.

An antique, porcelain vase that was converted into a lamp, at some point. The vase itself was made between 1902 to 1937, by Prov. Saxe E.S. Germany. I'm in the middle of shaping an antique-style lamp around it, and will end up pouring over $300 into it. I have every intention of the finished product becoming a family heirloom. I will even go so far as to patina all the brass pieces.

A lot of random old electronics from my dad. Every time I look for something I find some old piece I've never seen before. Sort of fascinating actually!
