Several. Many are posted somewhere on CR so I won't bore you with them. Never was a soldier so mine won't come close to yours.

Closest I recall was in Colorado while hiking at 9000' elevation while still used to 1100' air. My thinking got affected and I managed to posit myself at the very end of a spherical shaped cliff where if something wasn't figured out quickly I would be the gravity victim of a 500' fall to railroad tracks immediately below. My ass was up against the heels of my boots with no traction left to push up. It was either straight down or a body roll into a crevasse to my left. I did the latter. Escaped with scrapes, bruises, contusion here and there. Ruined 2 camera lenses. Boo hoo.

At age 2 I was thrown out of a car through the windshield as it rolled off the highway onto the shoulder near railroad tracks in NE Missouri. My Dad didn't survive it. I managed to account Mother put me in a 1-piece uni-body baby suit; otherwise, dirt germs and infection would've taken me also. I don't recall any of it.

I nearly drowned at a swimming pool when I was 13. Scariest moment of my life. I was born extremely premature so my lung capacity is much smaller compared to most people.

When I was small I went to the beach with my family. I walked in the water and walked as far as I could until I stood on my toes. Then the water dragged me in and I didn't know how to swim so I kept splashing my arms around and then I saw my older brother coming to me on his board. I don't remember what happened next because I blacked out. But apparently a lifeguard did mouth to mouth cause when I opened my eyes I wasn't breathing for a moment and saw lots of people surrounding me then I coughed up water. But I don't really think I understood what happened to me that day because I wanted to the back in the water

When I was young, around 10-13 I was at a water park, I knew how to swim prior but only at 5 ft, I decided to go to the deep end, deepest part was 15-20 feet deep. Now when I got there, the water park had these artificial waves it made, idk why, but the waves were bigger in the deep end then on the 5 foot area. The waves made me go underwater but here's the kicker. There were so many people in the deep end that I couldn't resurface. I started to panic and pushed and punched people to move out of the way, probably the closest I've ever come to drowning and can definitely see why when people commit suicide by drowning they put cinder blocks on their feet. Probably one of the worst feelings I've ever felt.
