Looking to watch anime about maids. What is the best anime about maids on Crunchyroll (hopefully available in the UK)?

To my knowledge, specifically on CR, there are only Hayate and Ladies vs Butlers with maids as prominent characters (not just side parts or one-time festival costumes), and I can't determine if "Ladies" is available there or not, as there is no RSS page for me to look at. (I kind of don't think it is, because it is a dub which was added as a catalog title...) Even Hayate is really more about the MC butler than the maid in his harem...

But here are the links anyway. Hayate should be available in GB:
/hayate-the-combat-butler-season-1-2
/hayate-the-combat-butler
/ladies-versus-butlers

/gj-club has a recurring occasional maid character
That should be available in GB, too.

Off of CR, I would probably pick "Maid Sama"

Limiting it to Crunchyroll buts a bit of a damper on things. I can only think of three that even kind of fit:

Hanasaku Iroha: not western-style maids, but it's about the girls who work in a Japanese-style Inn (so, you know, doing the same job and all). It's a very good slice-of-life comedy/drama with a pretty good romance.

The Fruit of Grisaia: One of the characters dresses and acts like a maid (although she technically is just a student). It's a pretty solid show with a mix of comedy, drama, and a bit of action and romance.

Maoyu: The main characters aren't maids, but two of the primary side characters are. It's a very good, very smart send-up of a lot of standard fantasy tropes.

Thanks asharka . I'll check out Hayate. I can confirm that Ladies vs Butlers is NOT available in the UK on CR (though interestingly the Availability Information section of the page provides links to the RightStuf disc releases) (Anyway I'm less interested because it's a dub).
I've heard of Mama Sama and want to check it out . MVM are going to release a Blu-ray collection in the UK on 28 March according to their online shop: http://www.anime-on-line.com/xcart/product.php?productid=26556&cat=2386&page=1 , so I might get the series that way .

Thanks for the recomnmendations mnmike , I'll check out Hanasaku Iroha and The Fruit of Grisaia (already in my queue, but not watched yet), but unfortunately Maoyu isn't available in the UK . I wanted to see what CR had first before looking else where.

Haven't seen " He is my master " yet, but it's basically a harem full of maids. No idea who licensed that, though..

I thought of another one:

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Has several maids as prominent side characters. It's an ecchi rom-com -- and a surprisingly good one, at that.

Once you look outside of Crunchyroll:

Maid-Sama: Good anime based on a great manga about a girl who works at a Maid Cafe.
Mahoromantic: Older show about an android killing machine who goes to work as a maid for the son of her creator.
Emma, A Victorian Romance: Forbidden love story about a master and maid set in Victorian England.
Steins; Gate : Sci-fi time-travel show, but the characters often hang out at a maid cafe, which is run by one of the prominent side-characters.
Ai Yori Aoshi: One of the main side characters works as a maid in the mansion where the story takes place.

I recommend Black Lagoon...there's one chapter on this killer maid which is too memorable! tons of action and suspense!

Thanks ComboChrist. I came across "He is my master" in the past, so I will check it out again. Sentai licenced it, but there doesn't seem to be any kind iof UK release .

Thanks again mnmike. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu now added to my queue.
Looks like Maid Sama will be a future purchase on disc.
I've been interested in watching Mahoromantic for awhile. It is available on The Anime Network in the UK, but unfortunately only the dubbed version (I prefer to watch in Japanese with English subtitles).
Emma: A Victorian Romance seems to be available to watch on YouTube if you pay.
Already watching Steins; Gate on Netflix, but not seen the maid cafe yet.
I will check out Ai Yori Aoshi.

Thanks choo5d. I can check this out on Netflix.

Now I'm wondering if any of these not currently available in the UK will be on Funimation when they launch here...

Is this (ongoing) manga available to you in the UK?
/comics/manga/soredemo-machi-wa-mawatteiru/volumes (And Yet the Town Moves)

There was an Anime adaptation (done by Shaft) for 12 episodes, which had more details filled out
I liked it enough to continue reading, (one of the few I actually follow), and wished it would have continued.

It's funny in a silly way, the main girl seems to be not too bright, and she isn't,
, but she is endearing, and a pretty good friend.

Anime not available on CR though. They used to have the motion manga 2.5, but that's gone now, even for the US.

Yes, I'm currently reading it . Someone else recommend the anime to me and I found the manga when I was searching on CR. I had started watching the motion manga 2.5 when it was available, but didn't finish it before it was gone . I might have to import the US region 1 DVD of the anime at somepoint because there doesn't seem to be a UK release (or licenced stream).

Fantastic Detective Labyrinth has possibly the 2nd kewlest maid in anime in Hatsumi Mieno (2nd IMHO only to Mey-rin of Black Butler). She's one of the main support characters on the show.

Hatsumi Mieno on the right.

and this is why I commented as I did...
