Just got a Roku Stick so I can watch my anime on another TV if my wife is using the main. Show buffers/loads about a third of the way, times out, and I get a message that playback is interrupted and I need to check my connection. Netflix, Amazon, Funimation, etc. all stream fine on the Roku Stick. Crunchyroll streams fine on the wired Roku 3 on the main TV.

Anyone have any idea what gives?

A spotty wireless connection? Is anyone else using the network connection (in general) at the same time?

I have no problem using a Roku stick. I'm guessing it's at least partly due to your internet bandwidth or wireless connection especially if what you mean is your wife is using the main tv for streaming video content via internet--that's a lot of bandwidth if you are both streaming at the same time.

(I've also seen several people report much better success using Roku connected via ethernet cable rather than wi-fi.)

Turns out it was just an issue with a certain episode or two. Weird.
