Been getting unable to access online features on ps4 for last few weeks. Ps3 was kind of watchable with but had constant errors. Specifically the unknown video player error.
Today my ps3 also started getting the unable to access online features error.
Oh I should add that this error does not occur with every title. Just about 90 percent. Have deleted and reinstalled apps, deactivated and reactivated the systems, and deleted my queue. All to no avail. Any ideas?

You are probably trying to watch catalog episodes which are now only available to Premium users in Canada. As of February 1st availability has changed for Canadian free users, limiting access to episodes not older than 13 weeks.

If this was the case why would it read after claiming "unable to access online features" "Please check your network connection and try again.

I just wanted to check it out and am I ever glad I didn't choose the pay option or I would be pissed right now. I'm not wasting any more time with this chickensh!t outfit.

You were unable to access online features for those shows not available to free users in Canada. If you had a premium membership, this wouldn't apply to you.

Bumping an old thread but it's an important usability comment I think CR should address. I landed here after searching for the error code. They should just say "Title only available to Premium members" instead of telling you to check your network connection. It makes no sense and creates unnecessary frustration.

I am having the same problem on my PS4. I have a stable net connection and I am a premium user. CR said that a lot of people are experiencing this problem currently and they are working on it. Hope they hurry I really want to watch the current Episode of Dragon Ball Super.

Premium PS4 user here as well. Seem like the app sh*ts the bed every Saturday evening.
It's always either an "internal server error" or my personal favorite the "unable to access online features. Please check your (perfectly fine)
Network connection".

Is it really too much to ask that we get the services we're paying (extra) for??

Having the same error, and it does seem to mainly be on Saturdays. Can we get an explanation of what's going on?

I, too, am a premium user with stronger internet than a CR video would require.

It's possible CR is still the victims of targeted DDoS attacks on Saturday nights, and are unable to mitigate the effects further when these attacks start.

People are saying that it's actually the traffic from Dragon Ball Super. That would explain why it seems to go down every single Saturday. Almost always around the same time.

All this time I thought it was them getting DDoS'd on Saturdays.

I have a premium membership and I was getting this error message just now, trying to even get my queue to load. Every sunday (Australian time) I seem to have major issues trying to access Crunchroll on my PS4.

Yup, Premium user here as well.. and every Saturday like clockwork, it fails in the evening..... a bit disappointing actually.

I'm a long time Premium member and I'm getting real sick and tired of not being able to watch anime on CR on Saturday nights. WTF am I paying for?
