I recently picked up the fifth book in the series 'A Desert Called Peace' by Tom Kratman. It has been several years since I've picked up the last book of the series. I have also been watching a good bit of anime lately so you can imagine that has something to due to the mental image I got when I began reading. It came to me during by the third chapter that this book and its series would be an anime I would watch. The action, drama, politics, ethics, and sheer force of story's content. The book is intended for mature readers given its content. Its bloody, and gets pretty damn dark at times. In what such a thing would actually end up looking like is unknown. But, my view would be something in the sense of 'Berserk' for the animation and music would have to be a collection of different blends. Some sections could be removed and it would still be an entertaining show. There is also voice cast would be a mix of different voice actors from across the biz. The character design would be interesting to see what would come together given the diverse cast of characters and the varying cultural lineages they have. It will never happen but, that's the great thing about reading you use your own imagination to do it.

So, to the point. I would like to ask everyone the question.

[i]What book or books do you think would make a good anime?

While reading Worm I often thought it would make a good anime. ETA: That looked stupid without reasons; it's full of the main character winning fights by being smart in how she uses her power, which is something that makes good anime, and the depiction of a world where superpowers existing actually makes everything worse is an interesting twist I'd like to see in anime.

Or, another angle on the question, how about books I'd like to see as an anime because how the hell could you make an anime out of that?, how about one of my maths or physics textbooks? It'd basically be a whole season of this sort of thing.

The Musashi Flex would be a good one too. Lots of action, intrigue, and some neat concepts.
