Incest isn't exactly a new concept so who cares if family members want to have sex with each other? But Necrophilia is not okay. For any reason, that's simply a fucked up fetish and has nothing to do with loving someone.

Honestly I didn't realize incest was illegal, thought it was just heavily frowned upon by society. Seems a little strange to limit who you can legally have sex with (other than for age reasons).

Why would one want to have engage in sexual age with own mother and vise versa with your own father. If you do stay as far away from me

I never said that I wanted to, but if someone does then who am I to tell them they can't for some flimsy reason?

I have no idea if incest is legal or illegal in other countries, however it's illegal in Sweden... Something I didn't know before this article was published...

I personally have no problem if 2 siblings got a thing for each other and make the choice to have sex since that's their thing. It's not like the government can check or anything anyway... However if siblings do it, then I think it's a must to have condoms due to the fact that sex with someone from your own family can greatly hurt future generations! But the necrophilia thing is for science... (sarcasm)

The whole "more likely to have genetic defects thing" is rather misleading. That's really only the case if the siblings inherited the recessive gene from their parents. And once you get into 1st cousins then the risks are hardly any different from a normal two random couple having a baby. Go back 4 generations and most families will have at least one couple that were 1st cousins. Only recently has that become a "moral" issue.

Statistics can be tricky and people don't tend to look to deeply into them to find their true meaning.

Well, it's for abuse reasons. Teacher/student, superior/subordinate, doctor/patient, direct blood relatives, all of it is illegal regardless of age. I don't know if it's like that everywhere, but I think it is in most places? It seems reasonable, to me, because it's too easy to coerce others into giving sexual favors if you have a position of power/authority over them.

Well in a vampire and zombie filled wasteland you would have legal protection. Imagine a new Twilight movie with everyone locked behind bars.

Like in Shawn of the Dead "I still love him.. I still have the ring"

First, it was "copulate with whom I tell you to,"

Then, it was "copulate with whom you lo*e,"

Now, it's "copulate with whom I say you can lo*e."

I have no problems with incest, save for perhaps between parents and their progeny - in those instances, there is something of a disconnect between the desires of a lover and the responsibility and duty of a parent. Between siblings, cousins, whatever, it should really be a non-issue. The risk of genetic defects of realistically very minimal (so long as it isn't repeated ad infinitum), and even if such an issue was present, there is the possibility birth control and the like.

Though this seems very unpopular, I don't see much of a problem with necrophilia, either. When a person dies, if they are ok with the body being used in such a way, it should be fine. The body won't be them after they die, so the issue of changing states of consent shouldn't be much of a factor. It's like leaving property behind in a will: you make the choice, but once it is made, no one gives much thought or concern over whether the person who no longer exists might have changed their mind.

When you bring up religious beliefs about life after death, the matter is slightly more complicated, but it should still be up to the person leaving behind the body. It should be part of a person's will.
