I was watching a series online and while I previously wasn't signed on, I thought if I signed on there would be some sort of indication that I watched or was partially through an episode. However, even after I signed in there was no difference. I was wondering if this could be something that is implemented sort of letting the user know they have watched the episode or watched it partially. I mean I guess if people don't like it there could be a way to turn off the feature as well. It is useful to me to keep track of which episode I've watched already.

Thanks for listening!

As long as you are logged in, it does keep track of what you have watched, partial or otherwise. It looks like this:

You can also find your history here: /history

There is also the option to add a show to your queue where it is easy to see what episode of a show you are on. That looks like this:

Thanks! I should have known it would be a website feature. I should have specifically asked this for the app. I don't think there is any indication when using those apps. Is there? Maybe I missed something? When I use the app to watch, there is no indicator. Sorry, I should have been more specific since I haven't used the website to watch any series yet, but it's great that I can see what I have watched on the website to help me keep track!

If you put the shows in your queue, and watch from there in the apps, it will either show the last episode of a series you watched, or the place holder for the next episode, if that is ready for simulcasts.

if you are watching a catalog title, it will show the episode you are on if you didn't finish, or the episode that would be up next.

The queue keeps track of where you left off.

What platform are you using? I only have it on my android phone and this is what it looks like when logged in:
But yes, the queue is a more reliable way to track where you are in a show.

Oh thanks, didn't know that the queue was that useful! Thanks for the tips!

I use the app on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 mainly.
