Meh, it's when the trolls start tattooing coffins and smiley faces onto their forearms I'd start to question the wisdom of starting to play this game.

It's legit; IBM (Japan branch) is sponsoring the game. Watson will be integrated into the AI or something. They are also 3d scanning 208 players into the game (there is a spot on the website to register to win a spot).

They are only just getting into the alpha testing phase, so I wouldn't expect anything out for a while (and that's just a Japan release; it can take sometimes even a couple years more to release it elsewhere).

It's also VR only, so you'll need a supported HMD like the Oculus Rift (the HTC Vive will more than likely be supported too just because it's one of the "big 3")
